About this listen
USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa brings an enemies-to-lovers romance where the billionaire grump can’t help but fall for Ms. Sunshine.
I never thought I’d be the proud owner of a quaint small-town bookstore, but life has a funny way of surprising us. With my virtual BFF’s encouragement to seize the day and follow my heart.
I say goodbye to my corporate job and say hello to my new adventure.
Until I meet the town’s grumpy billionaire, Huxley Spearman.
He’s every woman’s dream.
Tall, devastatingly handsome…but annoyingly arrogant. And if making a new enemy isn’t enough, there’s more: My long-lost mother might be alive.
This bookstore is the money pit.
My checking account is in shambles.
My online friend wants to be more than my virtual crush.
And, somehow, I‘m falling for two different men. Can love truly grow from a virtual connection? Or will a rough-around-the-edges man steal my heart?
This is a heartwarming tale of love, second chances, and a twist of the unexpected. In this spiritual successor to You Got Mail and Pillow Talk.

Huxley & Enid
Once again Claudia brings us another endearing HEA for one of the Spearman brothers of Paradise Bay. Huxley is a grumpy grumps with a big heart; Enid is a happy soul despite all the tribulations she had in life since she was young. They are different but somehow they complete each other.
I loved the two personas they had with each other and how they found out fate had brought them together.
Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Chris Brinkley narrate Enid and Huxley in this amazing feel good story. Stephanie was absolutely brilliant in her portrayal of Enid, however Chris’s narration was not so good. I felt that despite having the most amazing timber and smexy voice, his reading was not up to scratch with what would be expected from a voice actor. At times the inner monologue was stoped mid sentence as if the page had to be turned or a new line was read.

Love among the books
Enid has just found out she had a grandmother, recently deceased and that she has been left her grandmother’s bookstore and house in Paradise Bay.
Huxley is one of (he has a twin sister) the youngest of 8 children. He and his family live in Paradise Bay and he may have made a mistake - he gave a deposit to her grandmother so he could buy it.
Neither of them know of the agreement or the will so there is now a conflict of interests and they can seem to do nothing but bicker and argue as they try to come to terms with what has happened, with their own situations and with the undeniable chemistry that exists between them. Enid gave up her job and the life that she had to move and take over the bookshop. Huxley is trying to gain independence from his brothers and at the same time protect his sister.
An added twist to the story is that Enid has always been told her mother died when she was small but in the bookshop she finds letters written between her mother and grandmother. A further added twist is that Enid has an online BFF, an online gaming buddy who is fully supportive of her plans. They have been chatting for years, she trusts him and she thinks she is falling for him. And yet another added twist (this is not a spoiler as it won’t take long for listeners to realise) is that Huxley and the online friend appear to be one and the same!
A warm and funny story. A story full of banter and amazing chemistry. Claudia Burgoa truly does write the very best romance, erotic, humour-filled books and the narrators, Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Chris Brinkley bring it to life fantastically.

Love those Paradise Bay Billionaires!
Can you trust someone you met online? Enid has moved to Paradise Bay to reopen her grandmother's bookstore. It has always been a dream of hers, and without her family's support, she takes the plunge. She does have one person's confidence though. Her online gaming buddy. He has been by her side for several years and as their online relationship grows, her trust in him does as well. Much more than Huxley Spearman, who is trying to block her every move when it comes to the bookstore. He made a deal with her grandmother prior to her death to buy the bookstore, and he just won't let it go! But the chemistry between these two is so strong, and her online friend keeps encouraging her. Little does she know who she is really talking to! This is a funny, warm and easy listen, the kind that wraps you up in a warm embrace and keeps you there. I loved these two. The sizzling chemistry when they are together and the great banter when they are online. Plus we get to vising Paradise Bay, one of my favorite small towns and see all the family! Love the dynamics, always a fun to be with them all. This is a fantastic listen and a great way to spend the weekend!
Stephanie Németh-Parker and Chris Brinkley are our narrators and they do a fantastic job. Stephanie brings out all the feelings in this one. Enid has so much going on, from a new home, to starting a new business plus having Huxley around. There is a lot and Parker is amazing at melding all those feelings into her voice. Brinkley like like having you wrapped up in a hug. No matter how frustrating Huxley is, he always is sweet, and I loved having Brinkley's warm tones talking. This is the perfect casting and an amazing performance.

Enid and Huxley!
Since Enid was raised by her father, she knew nothing about her mother’s side of the family so finding out that she is now the owner of a bookstore and a home in Paradise Bay that she inherited from grandmother she didn’t know she had. Against her family’s objects this is her chance to live the life she wants however one cantankerous billionaire isn’t making things any easier.
Huxley has ties to Enid’s grandmother both personally and in business, so he wasn’t friendly when she moved to town. As he spends time with her his feelings change from wanting her to leave to hoping she will stay but the connection she doesn’t know they share could destroy everything.
There is so much I enjoyed about this book from the insight she received about her mother to the one friend she has who she has met online and never met and however they overcame their less-than-ideal beginning. The choice of narrators was a perfect match for the characters as they brought out the humor, heat and heart of the story.
