Summary

It's the golden rule of pretending to be someone's girlfriend: don't fall for their sister.

After a year from hell, Haf is ready to blow off steam at a Christmas party: a kind stranger, a few too many drinks and suddenly she's kissing Christopher under the mistletoe—in front of his ex-girlfriend.

The next day the news is out that they're apparently a couple, madly in love and coming to Oxlea to spend the festive season with Christopher's family. But Haf doesn't have better holiday plans and to save her new friend from embarrassment, she agrees to pretend to be Christopher's girlfriend for Christmas.

It has the makings of a hilarious anecdote they'll be telling for years. Until Haf meets Christopher's sister: the mysterious, magnetic and utterly irresistible Kit. Maybe love was waiting for Haf in this quiet little town all along....

Perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan, Laura Kay and Carol—this is sheer festive joy as you've always wanted to see it.

Utterly, utterly delightful

The queer, hopeful, funny, generous festive romp of your dreams! Everything about this book makes me want to press it onto everyone I know. Lovely characters, genuinely funny, and filled with utterly likeable disaster queer escapades. Wonderful.

Brilliant!

I have read many romantic fiction stories, and none have gripped me like this one.
The narrator was fantastic and helped transport me into the story. The story was written perfectly, with tense, exciting, sad and hilarious moments. I have never laughed out loud at an audio book before this one. I loved it.
It is such a refreshing story, where the forbidden relationship was not because of any closeted characters. There was no gasp of horror at the prospect of WLW and the presence of a non binary character with no introduction was just heavenly.
I have not reviewed a book before but felt the need after listening to a book that is absolute perfection. I will be looking for more from the author and 100% recommend!!

The perfect queer and cosy story to curl up with this Christmas. Loved the characters, loved the set up, plus there's a tiny reindeer!

An absolute treat of Christmas listen

I was so happy I found this lovely, quirky, funny, sometimes serious and always charming audiobook to listen to over the Christmas holidays.

Both the writing and narration are great. For me the only draw back with this production is that using the word 'they' for a single person is very confusing. I know it is fashionable but wish people would agree on a sensible alternative.
