wonderful
I love clares' stories, best friends always play a pivotal role and provide humour, clare gives her characters all you need as if you know the people personally,
this has more angst than usual, with the loss of a twin and a near death, handled impeccably in the writing with empathy and caring.
it always pays to talk and share, rather than bottle your feelings.
Great choice of narrator for accents, who also gives an excellent performance.
throughly enjoyable listening as a family comes to terms and move forward with life whilst remembering the departed.

Not sure what some of the other reviews mean where they didn’t like the story. Loved it! Perfectly narrated, I couldn’t stop listening, another gem from

Wonderful story set in the Highlands
Gorgeous love story set in Scotland. A twist and turn of love, family anguish and surprises. Clare Lydon's characters always come to life and you can see them and the locations so easily because of her wonderful ability for description and language.

very difficult to listen to
I love Clare lydon's books and have read them all but this is the first one I've listened to and it was a struggle. Unfortunately the narrator would be better suited to childrens books I couldn't finish it 😔

Main conflict is kinda meh
Not going to spoil to book of course, but I personally found the conflict to be extremely uninteresting. It felt childish and really cliché to be honest. The buildup was fine, but if you’re looking for more of a slow burn with attraction building, this definitely isn’t that. The narrator of the book did a good job portraying accents present in the book though a lot of the times it felt overdone in a strange way.
