Summary
Random House presents the audiobook edition of Make Time, written and read Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky.
What if you could step off the hamster wheel and start taking control of your time and attention?
As creators of Google Ventures' renowned 'design sprint', Jake and John have helped hundreds of teams solve important problems by changing how they work. Building on the success of these sprints and their experience designing ubiquitous tech products like Gmail and YouTube, they spent years experimenting with their own personal habits and routines, looking for ways to help individuals optimise their energy, focus and time. Now they've packaged the most effective tactics into a four-step daily framework that anyone can use to systematically design their days.
Making time isn't about radically overhauling your lifestyle; it's about making small shifts in your environment to liberate yourself from constant busyness and distraction. Make Time is a must-read for anyone who has ever thought 'if only there were more hours in the day....'

it's a list
It is nothing more than a list of techniques. that's a good list, but still not a book.

Some good broken down tips
Well narrated and some good tips around mindset and productivity. Particularly like the way they number each rip, and the beginning of each chapter they tell you the 8 tips. Coming up.
It's well. Narrated by the authors, and give some use able, whereas some are a bit drastic but I guess it's about selecting what will Work for you

Enjoyable, with helpful hints I will use.
Narrated well and easy to listen to. I liked the various anecdotes as they went along. In general, some easy (and some not so easy!) tips to help you focus, and make time for what is most important to you (and to help you realise what that is).

Talks sense
Not just another be more productive book.
I was looking to use up audible credits and downloaded this, not really expecting much. Following on from this I've removed Facebook from my phone. Gone are the days of mindless scrolling, being dragged into depressing views of the world. I can still access it to catch up, but it's a conscious effort.
loads more tips about prioritising what's important.

A gem of a book
I loved this book. infact I'm listening to it for a second time and the third time I will read the kindle copy and make notes. finally when i come across a hard copy, I'm buying it for keeps. Reason: Iitially I dismissed it as a for a book for youngster: FB, instagram etc addicts. As a matter of fact I removed these apps from my phone a long time ago before I came across this book, having realised they are sucking whirl pools. Despite that fact, i have found the idea of clearly defining your "highlight" for the day, deciding your most important single task and qualifying it according to your own importance a lifetime "aha!" moment. I recommend this book to anyone who feels like they are in an endless rat race or absolutely unmotivated despite knowing they have things to do. this one is a keepers gem...a life changer. Enjoy & learn.

Some great ideas. Some unrealistic.
Some great ideas but others are just too much and unrealistic. They try too control you too much. And the concept of ancient humans knowing what's best I just don't buy into.

Underwhelming and Impractical
There were a few ideas that actually annoyed me and mad me laugh, such as the suggestion to "host an art exhibition of your own work before creating art to force you to focus your time on making art." This suggestion struck me as utterly impractical, there are various other nonsensical ideas like this in the book.
Nothing on this list is likely to surprise or inspire you. The book discusses obvious and familiar concepts like decluttering your phone and practicing meditation – all common suggestions we're already aware of.
If you're aiming to enhance your focus and streamline your life, it's more practical to assess the activities consuming too much of your time, such as excessive phone use, and implement screen time restrictions. Don't waste 5 hours of listening to this book as you'll never get that time back.
