Summary
A vivid trip through the mind of the top professional wrestler in the business—a nobody from nowhere who achieved his ambitions and walked away with the gold and the girl of his dreams.
Ride alongside Jon Moxley as he retraces some of the highways traveled on his remarkable journey. Revel in the never-before-told stories about his early life in Cincinnati, Ohio; the gritty independent wrestling scene where he cut his teeth; the complicated corporate landscape of the WWE where he bucked against authority; and the rebellious upstart AEW, where he won the championship in 2020 and was finally free to achieve the vision of the wrestler he'd always wanted to be.
With plenty of pitstops and revelatory insights, including grisly ultraviolent encounters, crazy characters who became lifelong friends, and his unforgettable matches in Japan, MOX is the riveting account of the life of a brawler. It is a tale written in blood and soaked in debauchery, with a good dose of wisdom accumulated along the way.
More than a backstage pass into the arena, MOX is a ticket into the ring. Once inside, you'll never look at pro wrestling the same again.

Excellent Narration - Strange Book!
If you're expecting an autobiography from Jon Moxley with a linear story you will be disappointed. This instead reads like a series of essays that appear quite random. Also if you are a pro wrestling fan you wont learn anything new about Moxley - he grew tired of WWE creative, he likes more hardcore style matches, he loves his wife. Despite these criticisms however, I did enjoy listening to it (even if i didnt learn much!) and Moxleys narration is fantastic and very engaging as any fan of his would expect.

Best Autobiography I've ever listened to
Brilliant Chaos just as Moxley is, Amazingly well written & Narrated. You won't be let down from how to make a perfect sandwich, to marriage advice to Japanese death matches & Jokes that claudio told him.
Epic Read! Get it you won't regret it! 😁

Fantastic
This was a brilliantly, informative and funny book. The way Jon reads it is so entertaining and honest. I loved the "interludes" and the "jokes Claudio told me".
It was a really different approach to writing a personal story and it kept me interested and gripped from the very first word.
I was sad when it finished and hope Jon Moxley writes again soon

A Must Listen
The way this book flows perfectly sums up how Jon Moxley comes across in the ring. It’s hard hitting, all over the place and emotional in places. It’s fantastic, I especially like the random tangents of movie reviews and jokes mixed in.

Like listening to Ray Liotta voice over in Goodfellas
A story that keeps you engaged at every moment.
Jon’s narrative structure is non-linear and is narrated like you’re live in Jon’s head during each chapter.
He started from the bottom and now he’s here. A wholesome tale of his highs and low during a hugely successful career.
Jon did it his way.

HELL Effin YEAH
Well told and wildly engaging. The stories were elaborative and descriptive to all the senses. Such an inspiring soul. This calls for repeat listens!

Mox by Mox, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I have always wondered what it would feel like if I was sat in the room with Moxley, like we had met after a show and I had asked him if there were any stories he had about how to make it as a Wrestler. Now I know.
There was no one on earth that you could have got to read it like Jon Moxley would, because it wouldn’t have the same atmosphere, the same ability to produce the necessary emotions that only Jon Moxley can. He proves he has an excellent mind for the business that he loves, he always has and he always will. His sporadic jumps from story, to album recommendations, to movies, to ‘Jokes Claudio told Me’ are just how I imagine having a conversation with him. Going from deep in a story about being thrown off of this, or getting hit with this weapon, to ‘dude, have you seen this movie?’ Or ‘you’ve got to listen to this album.’ ‘Anyway, where was I?’
If you are a wrestling fan, be it WWE or AEW diehard, a casual watcher or even someone who fell out of watching it recently. Listen to this. It’s worth every single second

Mox. A fitting title.
Doesn't have a chronological narrative and feels more like the ramblings of a madman than a book. Buy... this gives it such a natural feel, as though Moxley is just sat chatting with you and I loved it
