Summary

A powerful attorney, a woman with a heart too big for her own good, and an instant family neither was prepared for...

Garrett Bradley commands the attention of some of the most influential clients in the country as one of the leading corporate attorneys in New York City, but one phone call changes everything. He must return home to Hallbrook, NH, where he soon discovers he’s responsible for three young kids and one monster-sized Saint Bernard.

April St. James, the social worker assistant assigned to the children’s case before Garrett’s mother adopted them, was staying with the children until Sarah Bradley’s prodigal son returns home to take up his responsibilities. Unfortunately, it puts her own job in jeopardy.

A powerhouse in the business world but clueless when it comes to children, Garrett turns to April with an offer she can’t refuse, enticing her to come to the city as a temporary nanny. The deal will allow her to finally pursue her dreams once the job is done.

But three kids, a dog, a nanny, and an uptight attorney don’t mix well in a fancy NYC penthouse. And when Garrett makes a mistake at work, he realizes somethings got to give before the situation destroys his reputation, the company, and most importantly, his new family.

It was such a beautiful story!! 😍

Love & Order was such a beautiful story!! 😍 I loved following Garrett and April's story. Enough time had passed that I had forgotten what the book was about, so I was definitely immersed in Garrett's experience, getting surprised with the news of his new charges. I've also realized that lately, I'm a sucker for the "meet-cute" to be told from the male POV, so that was an added bonus. :) April was the perfect nanny, but also the perfect complement to Garrett. I loved her already established relationship with the kids, and how she was able to help them all the way through, not only taking care of them and their physical needs, but also with their emotional ones, especially after the loss of their parents. The attraction between the MCs was there from the start, but it was beautiful getting to see these two developing feelings for the other and starting to consider the possibility of more (especially for Garrett, the self-proclaimed bachelor lawyer, after he gets a taste of what coming home to a family could be).

I really liked the narrator's voice, and how she had a distinct, different voice for every character. I especially enjoyed her male voices since they didn't sound like a female impersonating a male. As for the kids' voices, I admit they took me a bit to get used to, but once I did, I found them perfect for the story. They really brought it to life in a different, but definitely good, way, and made the ending all that much sweeter.

Overall, a truly beautiful Clean/Sweet Contemporary Romance audiobook recommended for fans of the author, and/or people who enjoy the nanny, "falling for the boss", "he's big-city, she's small-town" tropes. Completely recommended and I can't wait to check out the next one in this series! ~ 5 stars!

Garrett & April

This is a wonderful, feel good story! Garrett goes home for his mother's funeral to find that she had recently adopted three young children. Now charged with their guardianship, this bachelor living, work minded man has to learn to adjust to parenting! But it's not that easy! He needs help! Hiring April, the woman who had taken them in for a couple of days, he begins his new journey. April is looking to finish her college degree and Garrett may have just given her the golden ticket! But these two are in for much more! New adventures, children's antics and budding feelings come into play with this heartwarming, contemporary romance. I loved it, like a movie in my mind, I was smiling and feeling the love.

Rachel Butler is fantastic as the narrator for this story. She is new to me, and I found her voice appealing and warm. Every voice for each character was easily distinguishable and she captured all the feelings and emotions with her inflections. The kids added a fun layer to the story too! It's good, fun romance!

Sweet Contemporary Romance

Quite a roller coaster of changes and emotions!
I enjoyed the story, but thought it would have been better as a Christian story. His coworker attended church, but that's the closest this story got to being faith based.
The children's voices were great! Really good acting in my opinion. The adults while having different voices, had the same reflections and tempos. I think there's a bit of room for growth there. But nothing off putting about any of it this audiobook!
