About this listen

Antonio Sanchez is looking for his family.

His wife and daughter were headed to Montana Territory from Santa Fe, Mexico to join him in Paradise Valley. But he hasn't heard from them in a long time, and every day that passes his anxiety for their safety grows. As soon as the snow melts, he decides to travel back to Texas, their last known location, to see if he can discover their whereabouts. But bands of outlaws, disgruntled townsfolk hankering for blood, and drunken cowpokes turn his journey into an epic and dangerous adventure.

Lotte Veldon and her husband traveled all the way from Holland to Texas to start a new life as pioneers. But a tragedy leaves her stranded, alone and on the run.

When their paths collide on a dusty Texas road, neither of them realizes just how much their lives are about to change. When Lotte begs him to let her help find his family, he reluctantly agrees, but only until he finds her a more permanent place to stay.

Time on the road will fan the flames of affection and put both their lives at risk. Will Antonio find his family? And what will become of Lotte if he does?

Great Story, Great Narration!

Lost in Laredo by Vivi Holt is an awesome listen! I loved how the author included some suspense in the story, and yet had a clean listen. There were some very unexpected twists with this book, and I found myself really drawn to Lotte and Antonio. The storyline of first becoming friends out of necessity was fitting for this old west book. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. I really thought the author did a spectacular job with the imagery in this book. Cody Roberts did a great performance with this book. I really was impressed by his various accents he gave the characters. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I highly recommend this book.
