Great Yew Hollow Mystery

I took a while to get into this one initially due to the narrator, but after a couple of chapters I grew used to the change and was able to appreciate the story, which features another betrayal from within and a strange alliance. It's an excellent story that starts with the protection spell failing as the Yew Tree loses power, and sends an avatar to blame Gwen for being an outsider and not a true member of the coven. The avatar tells Gwen she can become a full member of the family by performing the traditional coming of age ritual that normally allows three years to perform three tasks, Gwen, however, has only has two weeks before her 26th birthday after which it will be too late. It is implied but not stated, that the Yew Tree's power will be restored if this happens.

Gwen has to find herself a mentor, which is quite a task in and of itself, and then acquire her three tasks and perform them. This is absolutely the best past of the story. My favourite was task one I think, it was quite hilarious.

I definitely rcommend this to any fan of this series and any cozy witch mystery fans.

I was lucky enough to receive my copy free of charge in exchange for my honest review, but I'll happily pay a credit for the next book if and when it's released on audible, which I hope will be soon.
