About this listen
The Collected Blandings Short Stories.
Blandings Castle is the home of Lord Emsworth, who likes nothing better than to potter at home in his enormous castle garden. But his rural idyll is once again set to be disturbed in these nine hilarious fables. No peace is possible when his sister Constance is let loose, and she is constantly trying to reorganise the household and its inhabitants! Without great success....
The nieces are unhappy, McAllister leaves at a difficult time, and then The Empress of Blandings - Emsworth's prize pig - goes off her pig-food! Put all this against the continuing complicated love affairs of Freddie Threepwood, not to mention Lord Emsworth's own love interests, and the stage is once more set for classic Wodehouse hilarity!

Wonderful Wodehouse
Excellent narrator. A funny and delightfully period example of silly but enjoyable humour. This is a collection of short stories with Lord Emsworth at Centre stage.

Excellent but for Audible running each story into the next.
Gloriously amusing turns of phrase as ever by Woodhouse. Brilliant narration by Jarvis. A real pleasure, barring Audible trying to run all the stories into each other. Why ?

Witty Wodehouse stories
A delightful series of PG Wodehouse stories about the endearing, absent-minded Lord Emsworth, read wonderfully by Martin Jarvis who evokes all the characters in masterly style. An audio treat!

Vintage Wodehouse
Splendid laugh out loud fun from the genius that is PG Wodehouse.
Just one frustration about the recording- there’s no pause between stories- each starts immediately after the last with no pause whatsoever. This needs fixing. But it can’t spoil the enjoyment.
