Intriguing, from different perspectives
A well written story, which could very easily be based on a true story. Told from different people's perspectives, making you feel more involved.

not my favourite book by Lucy Dawson
most of Lucy Dawson books follow a similar path of a woman sensing something is wrong and not being believed however this book lead me to cringe at the two hysterical women getting in the way of other people doing their jobs.

WOW, WHAT A STORY
The story had me sitting on the edge of my seat. It certainly makes you think about travelling abroad on your own.
I liked how the story flowed, falling in love with some the people and not liking others.
I wish i had read this book when I was younger when I travelled to Hong Kong on my own. At the stop over Airport I needed to get to my hotel but didn't know how to. An English guy aged about 40 offered me a lift to my hotel in his taxi which turned out to be a mini bus with 6 other guys in it. Thankfully he was true to his word and I was dropped off at my hotel. His final words to me was "Never accept lifts from strangers, you never know who or what they are. That was my first and last time i accepted a lift from a stranger.
This book certainly make's you aware of this. Just a very small bit disappointed at the end but so like true life.
Great idea giving you a donation address to help others at the end.
Definitely read this author's books again. ❤

Very good book. Thoroughly recommended.
There are two concurrent threads to this book:
There's Anya trapped in a dark, watery cave in somewhere Mexico wondering whether she will ever see daylight again. Then there's the story of Anya's home life. She is infact "middle sister". There's also elder sister Kate and youngest sister Emily.
There's not a great deal to say about somebody sitting in a cave for several days hoping to to rescued, although that does provide a lot of the tension. Mostly this book is about family life back home, mum and dad, grandparents, tragedy, boyfriends, marriage breakups, ambitions, guilt, love and romance. It's a bit of a weepy in places.
We also wait with baited breath to hear the story about what lead Anya to get into that situation in the first place.
Time passed very quickly while I was listening to this, so that's a sign of a good book. I was 100% engaged in the story.
Great narration by Emma Gregory, particularly the male voices. Easy to suspend disbelief and think you are actually listening to a male voice.

Yawn 😫
I’ve listened to most of the Lucy Dawson books and enjoyed them but this one was terrible. It was so boring the characters were dull and the story was awful. Use your credit on something else.

Good God this was monotonous!
Took forever to get to the point of it all!
First listen of this particular author, and will certainly be my last!
Waste of a credit!

Awful
I've listened to several of Lucy Dawson's books and enjoyed every one but this one was tedious, relentlessly miserable and irritating. The characters were two dimensional and unsympathetic. Both the sisters were annoying. The other characters weren't fleshed out and consequently were uninteresting. Don't waste your money on this one.
