Summary

A lot can change in a week.

Seven days ago, I was just Talia—an art school dropout with an affinity for tattoos, a hopeless crush on my boss, and a knack for finding trouble. Now, I’m a gold-blooded, magic-harnessing, Runemaster in training.

The good news is all of that has resulted in one hell of a promotion. Instead of sweeping floors, I’m sweeping swarms of venomous squatters out of castles. I’ve been enrolled in accelerated, hands-on rune lessons—super handy for those like me who are death-averse. Oh, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my incu-boss’s upgraded benefits “package,” which has been particularly generous.

Sadly, promotions aren’t just about the perks. There are increased responsibilities as well: amassing a magical army alongside the newfound fae king, repairing centuries-old divisions among the Seelies and Unseelies, and vanquishing a completely unhinged demon lord whose ego may have gotten the teensiest bit damaged when I became the first woman with a pulse to ever spurn his advances (oh, and nearly kill him too).

But hey, when you’re the most coveted tattoo artist in two realms, it’s all in a day’s work.

A fun and wonderful entertaining story

Well, what can I say? This series is just so good and entertaining. Rachel Rener is a master of her craft as each book just goes from strength to strength with its roller coaster of emotions and hilarity, and in Linked The action and the steamyness has just gone up tenfold, and I'm loving every single moment.

Linked is the third book in the Gilded Blood series, and the worldbuilding just gets bigger and better as we delve deeper into the Fae Realm and its characters and creatures that dwell there.

I'm shrieking like banshee through these books so fast that they just captivate you so much that I'm already halfway through Synced the final book in the series. Pure entertainment, fast-paced, action-packed, and the camaraderie between the characters are brilliant.

I have a new favourite character, Lamswyth, the sex-obsessed Satyr, who always has a perfectly logical excuse for the method of his madness. Lamswyth and Talia's mother, Dee Dee, form a formidable team that will have you doubled up with laughter.

In the first two books, we got glimpses of the magical fae realm, but in Linked, we become fully immersed in it and its complex cultures and political minefield. Talia's character continues to grow emensly as she discovers more and more of her background, heritage, and magical blood and why she might be the most powerful player in the realm.

War is coming to the Fae Realm, as Zayn tries to win back his Kingdom. After escaping Sol's clutches, Talia and Zayn retreat and hide back in the Fae Realm, trying to convince the Evles of his Inheritance.

With the mob boss Sol right behind them with an army of all kind of supernatural beings, Talia and Zane must convince the Evles to band together to fight and finally try to end Sol's tyranny and evil that has plagued the Fae Realm once and for all. Will good prevail over evil, read it, and find out.

If you love strong female characters and bad ass magic systems, then this one's for you. It's a fun cosy fantasy series for all fantasy readers. If you haven't checked out Rachel Rener's books, then I very highly recommend that you do....😁💙🔥🧜🧛🦜
