Summary

Bound by an oath she cannot retract, Saxony must save an old enemy from a new one.

School’s out for summer, and all Saxony wants is a few weeks at home to recuperate from the roller-coaster ride of her first year at Arcturus Academy. Apparently, that is too much to ask, as a promise she made to protect the innocent comes back to haunt her. Venetian crime boss Enzo Barberini has called in his chit.

Saxony finds herself on a chase through (and beneath) the gritty ancient streets of Naples, hunting for not one but two men she hoped never to meet again. Her only back-up? A couple of fellow students. As Arcturus Agency falls apart and her species is threatened with extinction, can Saxony save friends, repay a debt, and solve the mystery of fires going out before there are no magi left? Two out of three ain’t bad. Which two?

Listen to Legends of Fire, the penultimate book in the series, to find out. Arcturus Academy is an action-adventure series of five books by a USA Today and Amazon best-selling author. Saxony is a strong female heroine swept into a world of dizzying plot twists, sweet romance, and intriguing mythology, all woven against a backdrop of elemental magic. Perfect for fans of Kelley Armstrong, Maria V Snyder, and Shannon Mayer.

Will the fire go out for Saxony?

A.L Knorr does it again sending our hero Saxony back out into the world of danger and mystery. We follow her as she tries to hold it together, while dealing with twists and turns at every corner. Marni Penning brings it all to life with her amazing performance as always. Can’t wait for the final instalment!

Excellent

Great storyline and building anticipation of the grand finale. Saxony and friends are facing bigger challenges as they continue along the journey. Naples is this books location with Gage missing and the agency in shatters.

Another amazing book!

I’ve read ‘The elements’ series, and every other series from the girls. They are a refreshing read, and unlike any other! As I near the end of the final series focused on the girls that I adore, I hope A.L. Knorr has some more of their stories in mind. If you do read this, you are now one of my favourite authors, and I am likely to listen to these books time and time again!

A rollercoaster!! Loved it!!

The fourth book of the five following Saxony’s adventures as she begins her life at Arcturus.

During this story we pick up where we left off with Enzo requesting Saxony’s help and the fulfilment of her debt to him. This leads to a trip to Naples, which, whilst she expects it to be a difficult trip, she certainly doesn’t anticipate just how difficult it gets when a friend ends up in serious trouble and suddenly time becomes a huge factor before something awful will happen. There is a lot of action and suspense in the story… And perhaps a little romance as well.

Enlisting a friend from school to help, the two of them go on a whirlwind adventure through the Italian city, exploring hidden places, meeting unexpected people, and culminating in a highly charged conclusion that will have you on the edge of your seat! They both also begin to learn and understand how the agency works, leading Saxony to consider her life after school.

As always, fantastically read by Marni Penning, I can’t wait to listen to the last book in the series.

Another rollercoaster of a ride

It's summer break and the students are off home to recover from a roller-coaster year.

Before Saxony leaves, the mob crime boss from Italy calls in his favour - his son, who tried to steal Saxony's fire magic, needs reeling back in.

What follows is a frantic search throughout Italy to bring Dante back under control and find Gage.

Fast paced, frantic and amazing.

I love how Ms Knorr weaves a wonderful, heart thumping, thrilling story.

The narration, as always, was superb.
