Summary

Commitment-phobic Grateful Knight has her hands full. While she struggles to understand her new role as Monk's Hill witch, evil isn't waiting for her to come up to speed. Not only is there an increase in supernatural activity in her ward, she’s being evicted from her home, breaking in a snarky new familiar, and trying to sort out her feelings for her metaphysically connected and immortal boyfriend, Rick. When Grateful foils a murder at a fae bordello, she uncovers a plot by a local vampire coven to obtain a secret weapon with the power to control both the living and the dead. History is threatening to repeat itself. And if Grateful doesn't give herself over to her role completely, it could cost her everything.

Good book

Story is interesting just wish I felt more for the characters. For me it just doesn’t quite hit the mark. There is a fair bit of soul searching but not to much Poe seems to offer the only light relief.

Another Great Story

The books just keep getting better and more interesting. The narration is phenomenal as u can distinguish each character even as they are brought into the storyline.
Poe is one of my favorite characters with his hilarious comments. He makes me laugh out loud.
There are so many ways these characters could go which means more books to come.

Clueless Lead Characters

This could be a really good series if the the two lead characters were more mature and actually talked out their problems. About 1/4 of the book is Grateful disagreeing with someone, mostly Rick. When they are not arguing, they are having sex. I get that their bond is based on sex, but it's not necessary to take up a large portion of the book describing each time they do it. I get it, they are really into each other. Also, you kinda figure out who the bad guys are early on and have to suffer through the story waiting for Grateful to get a clue. I read the first book and thought I would give this one a chance because the premise is actually interesting. But, I won't be reading the next one.

Amazing

The characters grow, the story evolves and I am already disappointed that I'm halfway through the series! I need more!

Enchanting Magic!

On the edge suspense, sizzling passion, plus magical creatures make for a thrilling adventure. I really loved the book and can't wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book.

The plot thickens

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to a friend. Book 2 in the Grateful Knight series is just as much of a page turner as Book 1. The plot thickens as Grateful and Rick's relationships gets more involved, while Grateful becomes more attuned to her magical powers. I couldn't put this book down. I love these characters.

Men are annoying and women aren't too smart???

I enjoyed this book for the most part, however, there were parts that just annoyed me..Logan, stop pining, she isn't even giving you mixed signals, you are clearly in the "friend zone". Hey Rick, she got angry because you were manipulative...so let's keep doing that. Hey Grateful, you agreed to a life altering decision with a proverbial gun to your head and you're cool with that? I enjoyed some of the new characters and additional backstory as well as Grateful's magical growth. Last thing, the whole house sale storyline was pure BS.

I’m so hooked on this series! I love the characters, her familiar is awesome. The narrator‘s ability to bring each different character to life is amazing. The story is very unpredictable, which is awesomely intriguing.💖

Love, love, love this series!

I listened to book 1 a few weeks ago and came back for book 2. I'll be onto book 3 soon. Grateful is learning more about her powers and building a data bank she can carry with her on her phone for all the spells. I think that modern day touch is cute.

As she's settling into being a witch she finds she's being evicted from the house. The one she abhorred at first but now loves. It's the place she has to be to send souls away. The story quickly builds and the plot thickens. She and Rick have problems, leaving her alone. She adores him, is connected to him on a level that exceeds the physical realm but she can't commit.

This series is quick paced and witty. I adore Grateful. I'm not so crazy about Rick. I liked her ghost beau better but now in a human body her feelings for him have settled and they're good friends. She finds many reasons to call him, some that simply cracked me up.

A fun series!
