About this listen

What happens when the very gods depend on mortals for help? That's what three very different young women find out when they are invited to Warrior's Peak.

To Dana Steele, books and the knowledge they hold are the key to contentment. But now that search for knowledge must include the second key needed to release three souls held captive by an evil god.

She won't be alone, for she's formed fast friendships with two very different women. She can't allow herself to be distracted by the return of the man who broke her heart so long ago, for a danger beyond anyone's imagination is determined to keep her from completing her quest.

Great follow on story!

Really enjoyed this book. Not as much as the first as it was a bit predictable. Can’t wait to read the third one! Welsh/Scottish accents are debatable!

Good story

This is a better story than the first in the series. The characters are developing and growing on me. The narrator tells a good story, but that’s not a Welsh accent for Rowena and Pete. She seems to have settled for a sort of Scots/Irish accent for them in this second book.

Even better the third read through.

The second book in the trillogy focuses on Dana steal. She's a book worm who's got a grate mind and a first for knowledge. She like mallory has to go on a journey within the book as she's got a lot to come to terms with. One of the people on the quest writer Jordan Hawk was a former lover who hurt her when he left. Dana therefor has a lot to come to terms with.

I love the way Dana and Jordan banter with each other and also how they work together as a team. Loved this second book as there was a lot more happening as Cane ups the auntie to stop them getting the keys. Highly recommend this trillogy.

Looking forward to rereading Zoe's story as she's my favourite out of the 3 women.

better than the first book.

Any additional comments?

in the first book of the trilogy, key of light we meet all the characters we will follow through the story. it is obvious who the three partnerships will be. in the first it was Mallory and Flynn now in this part of the story it is dana and jorden who must come together to find the second key to unlock the spell cast upon a king's three daughters.nora Roberts is very good at describing relationships and making the unbelievable believable as she does in this story, a grown up fairy story, the power of good against evil. and as with all fairy stories we are there rooting for the good guys and a happy ending.the atmosphere and tension in finding the key is also very well done.hope that the third part is as good. once more susan Erickson performed the book well. she added so much to an already thrilling story.

Good book, good performance

I found this one a little less enthralling than the first in the series but still very enjoyable. - again the non American accents annoyed me a little but I still found the performance very good

Great second part of series

Not that we ever thought that the ending would not be predictable, but there was many things that were not. Very enjoyable
