About this listen

A divine quest to deliver justice. One year to accomplish his mission. After nineteen planets, there's something different about this one.

James Holden has reached the maximum level there is for a human. That's perfect, because he's the only one of his kind: a wandering warrior, without control of his destination, tossed between universes by gods who've failed to tell him why. James is the lone Judge on a new world in need of someone to balance the scales. He isn't afraid to do so with extreme prejudice. As the Chief Justice, he has to right the wrongs the innocent can't fix themselves.

As James quickly discovers, the roots of corruption run deep. Guilds choose to protect themselves rather than the people. Monsters roam the wilderness unchecked. Judgment is usually a decision between right and wrong, but nothing is ever that simple. This time, being the strongest human won't be enough to punish the guilty. James might have to recruit some new blood, even if he prefers to work alone.

On his twentieth world, he is going to win, no matter the cost. James will have to find a way to break past the limits of the system if he's going to have a chance at making a difference.

I absolutely love this book, I was hooked from the start and can't wait to begin book 2. I wonder what adventures await James.

Compelling Story

Having a hero come in mid story is an unusual format but does give our author great control over the narrative. We miss the slow power build up but see glimpses into his past triumphs and failures giving him a war weary but dermined personal. I love how the previous world's and still undiscovered powers he has access to gives us surprises whilst building his character. A great world build and a great story combined with the enveloping talents of a great narrator make this a pleasure to listen to.

Really enjoyed the story and the manner in which the MC James was shown. It is well written with some great action sequences. Great pacing and great narration. Looking forward to Book 2.

Wandering Warrior: Judge hits all the right notes and has become an instant favorite of mine! From the moment I dove into the story I was hooked on James' journey. He's the kind of character that grabs you by the heart and doesn't let go. The setting was brilliantly crafted and vividly immersive with a system that added an extra layer of enjoyment for me. The pacing was spot-on, seamlessly blending action-packed moments with character-driven development. If you're a fan of isekai, captivating characters, and an action-packed narrative, you won't be disappointed. This book has cemented its status as one of my favorites, and I can't wait for the next book in the series!
