A Sunday Times best seller.

The 12th hair-raising Dirk Pitt thriller, which sees the adventurer hunt for a fabulous hoard of Inca gold before the richest prize known to man is lost forever.

A call for help from a stricken archaeological expedition brings Dirk Pitt to a sacred well high in the Andes. There he confronts a band of ruthless art thieves who plunder ancient sites for their precious artefacts.

But soon Dirk Pitt faces even graver danger, as he searches for a lost Spanish galleon and hunts for a fabulous hoard of Inca gold. And in a desperate race against time, Pitt must track down a sacred site - before the richest prize known to man is lost to the world forever....

Story not believe able but so much fun shame the sound kept going up and down on the narration really annoying

Story great

You have to except that when these were written it was a sexist, jingoistic world of stereotypes.

The story rolls along with the bravo we love. Good guys triumph, all be it with some struggle. Adventure in a tin

Of it's time, so don't buy unless you can cope

Clive Cussler is a master storyteller, and Inca Gold is no exception. The plot is gripping, full of action, and packed with the kind of adventure fans have come to expect from the Dirk Pitt series.

I usually enjoy listening to audiobooks on Audible, and Scott Brick is a consistently strong narrator—his performance here is no different. However, the editing of this particular title left much to be desired. Throughout the book, there are noticeable and frequent audio splices where a different narrator’s voice cuts in, presumably to correct an error or update a line. Unfortunately, the replacement voice not only sounds different but is also at a noticeably different volume level, which is quite jarring and breaks the immersion of the story.

While these issues didn’t completely ruin the experience, they did detract from the overall enjoyment. A little more care in post-production would have gone a long way in maintaining the quality listeners expect from an Audible release.

Another great Cussler story but…

Somtimes a different voice narrates parts, it's very perturbing and doesn't match the rest told.

Strange narration

Another great story that is well narrated and enjoyable to listen to. Highly recommended. The characters continue to develop and make you feel part of the adventure.

Great story. Well narrated ruined by the constant need to convert metres to feet. Miles to kms etc. if you are that thick you need the conversion read or listen to kids books. Whoever decided to put the conversations in so so many times in my book is totally inept

Spoiled

I enjoyed it but continual conversions of metric to imperial was irritating to listen to each time.
