Narration. Was good, good intonation and changes in voices for various characters, believable and interesting

Brilliant story and plot as always, Maisie Dobbs is an old Friend someone I like to revisit and listen to every now and then.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This book was excellent. It was so well read by Julie Teal I thought there was a full cast of superb actors. The story was engaging and moving. Because I have listened to a few Marie Dobbs novels, I feel like I know the main characters with a warm familiarity now.

A Habit of Secrets

Intricate, gripping tale, perfectly narrated. So many issues, so much idealism, so many broken hearts. caused by secrets. RECOMMENDED

Excellent and most enjoyable.

"In This Grave Hour," the thirteenth book in the Maisie Dobbs series, is another excellent mystery brimming with the atmosphere and anxiety of the now officially declared war. Winspear describes 1939 London (and several other locations) so masterfully you feel you are rushing through the capital's streets along Maisie in pursuit of truth and justice.
It's a classic Maisie Dobbs tale full of thrilling investigation, intelligent observation and impressive depth of understanding of the human spirit. Very enjoyable and most recommended!
