Gripping
I totally loved this story, so many twists and turns, I was gripped the whole way, the ending…. I have no words.

Theodore & Maddison!! Wow
Wow!!! This story is just wow! This is my first audible by Gigi and I am super impressed. The story is written so well and she has created an Alpha that is just so good!! I can’t bare it when and alpha gets sippy and I can say xero does not do this!!! Theodore’s voice as the character is just perfect and Madison as Amethyst is on point. This isn’t the first book in a good while that I have rated 5 across the board!! Brilliant! The end though ffs!!! What a cliff hanger and there is no audible for book two! I am devastated 🤣🤣. Can’t rate this book more highly!! Bit if you are of a sensitive disposition, read the triggers first !!!

Loved it
Amazing start to finish. Was so hooked I couldn’t stop listening and was definitely questioning my own sanity with this one lol. Narrators were excellent. Straight onto book 2!

Gripped from page 1
This book is so good. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did but it was so worth the read/credit. I’ll start with Narration;
I love that it’s Duet narration.
There is no way a female could have spoken any of Xeros parts, it just wouldn’t have worked - for that alone it’s worth the Audio purchase!
Both narrators make it more interesting/immersive & although I did struggle for the first couple of chapters with the female voice I quickly started to love it - she is literally perfect for this character.. she captures her so well! But both of them are just fantastic.
I did have to change the speed here and there with few of the chapters to follow along properly - but no big deal. I physically read alongside listening so that may be a me problem!
I did notice a few minor mistakes with the Audio and in places during one of Xeros chapters where Amethyst was supposed to speak it was just silent, so I imagine that’s an editing issue but no big deal and you wouldn’t miss anything important if you don’t read alongside.
The book itself;
I was gripped from page 1, I couldn’t wait to get to the bottom of what was happening. I did kinda guess a lot of the plot from about 10 chapters in and by half way I had 80-ish% figured out (or at least a very good idea of where it was headed for the conclusion to book 1) but some parts still really surprised me (especially the very last page/few sentences!)
Heading to book 2 I’m still not 100% sure of what I believe regarding either characters overall true intentions/motives - but I can’t wait to find out!
I wasn’t surprised or taken back by any of the content as I usually read dark or spicy romance so the trigger “menu” didn’t bother me, neither did the overall content - although at times it’s quite a sad read and you’ll feel for Amethyst -
I’m not usually one for heavy on the psychological - not because I don’t enjoy them but because I can’t stop reading until I get the answers, and i can get a bit impatient so drift off a bit - but for me this was perfectly paced and I really liked finding answers as, and when, I did. I can’t wait to see where it goes now.. on to book 2 😅

Amazing book
On the darker side of dark romance, but my god the storyline was amazing. Did not see so many twists coming - but the cliff hanger ending, seriously!? :(

Tried too hard
Unfortunately not a book I personally would recommend. Weird storyline, I didn't have any feelings for any of the characters. Feels like they are jumping on the bandwagon and trying to make the book spicy, dark and trigger filled, but failed miserably. It''s just a weirdly put together story with poor characters. Disappointing 😞

Solid audio book. 3.8 star
Great audio book. Voice actors slightly carried the story. Very dark. The MMC wouldn’t be a book BF but is very interesting.
