When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

Summary
Down, Boy
Anna Moder has just witnessed a shooting, seen her car pulverized, and rescued a wounded stranger - only to discover he's really a werewolf. And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don't faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she's known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham - that's a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him.
The problem is, Caleb employs his lupine tracking abilities as a not-quite-legal bounty hunter, and Anna is suspicious of both him and his profession. On the run from her past, with old problems closing in, she'd like to stay far, far away from anybody with connections to the law. Caleb, however, seems determined to keep her close. Are his intentions noble, or is he working a more predatory angle?
Anna's been dreaming of returning to a semi-normal life, but now she's experiencing a strange new urge. . . to join Caleb in running with the wolves.

Stephanie Plum meets a Werewolf
Not as good as the first two in the series, probably because there's a bit of darkness to the story in that the heroine is escaping a violent, domestic abuse past.
Once you get back into the daft comedy it's much better. A female doctor finds herself on the run with a werewolf and just might fancy him.

I enjoyed it
Someone on here complained that this is book is less good than the others in the series because it is less fluffy and nice.
Even though I would argue that the other books sd flap have their serious notes, I know that trauma about domestic abuse can read differently.
All in all, I did enjoy it!
And it was lovely to get that small bit at the end to link this series to the Half Moon Hollow universe.
Though. Say what you want. It is weird that nobody ever really mentioned vampires existing!

Hidden dangers everywhere
A very good book on growing and learning to trust others after being abused by a partner. The doctor has left the valley to try and protect them from her Ex but at the same time now it is the time for her to be protected. A very interesting look into the doctors past and the plight of many women like her. Whilst she has a strong werewolf to protect her it was a fun and interesting read. I was nervous going into this book as to how it would work out but it outperformed on my expectations. Less focus on sex a lot on abuse and attempting to grow and be strong. A great easter egg a the end as well.

Any additional comments?
I loved this book! It was so good from start to finish! I really loved both the characters Anna/Tina and Caleb, they were so good for each other even if they did hit a couple of bumps as their relationship progressed.
Tina (known as Anna to the pack) was on the run from a controlling, abusive ex-husband, shed been really happy as the pack's doctor but when she received an alert that her ex may have found her she ran cause she didn't want to drag the pack into her problems and was afraid of facing her abusive ex.
Caleb is a bounty hunter and cousin to our favourite werewolves Cooper, Maggie and Samson. He's been away from the valley for a few years now but still in regular contact with the pack so he's heard all about Dr Moder from Maggie.
I loved the banter between them and how close they got although they nearly didn't end up together cause of the secrets each of them were keeping but I'm so glad things worked out for them and that in the end she did trust in the pack to help her. I don't think her ex will be bothering her ever again!
I also loved the updates on the pack members and what was happening with the merging of the two packs and with the relationships we seen forged over the previous two books! I also loved he twist with who Tina's network contact Red-Burn was! I really hope we get more in this series

Strong start and keeps it up
Very happy with this book. The story has a strong start and keeps delivering till the end. Haven´t read other books in the series, but don´t think it hurt. Basically the story is about a woman running and hiding from an abusive spouse, surviving and moving on. Add in some supernatural elements for fun and enjoy, while basking in the escape of a woman lucky enough to make a brake from a toxic relationship. Good narration as well. Kind of a Cinderella story for battered wifes, teaching what the better option might look like emotionally. Very well written and the subject handled well.

A Refreshing Book & Funny too!!!
I didn't know what to expect in this book, but i didn't expect this! It was really good, there was a new flavour added, It was about Anna Moder, the pack's doctor, and her story was very interesting.
Its always refreshing to listen to this series, and it has a unique touch to it, which I enjoy!
The most interesting thing was its ending!!! Can't say much about it, but you wouldn't expect it.
Looking forward to the 4th book in this entertaining series.

More Serious Than The Others
This book was great. It had a lot less snark than we are used to from Molly Harper, which is fitting considering what Anna/Tina is going through. Spousal abuse is a very serious & traumatic subject. I think most of us know someone who has been touched by abuse. That said i still loved the book & Amanda Ronconi is one of the best narrators out there especially for that southern flare. I also loved the cross over at the end.
Please, please Molly do a full book that way.

Funny & Sexy With a Side of Serious
This story is everything I’ve come to expect from Molly Harper! How to Run with A Naked Werewolf is the third book in the Naked Werewolf series, and probably my favorite of the three. It’s fun, sassy, sexy, exciting… entertaining, start to finish! These werewolves are just so devilish & fun!! Tina is on the run from her crazy husband, hiding out in the Alaskan backwater town, living among a pack of werewolves. She gets spooked & takes off , leaving behind the only place she has felt at home in years. Along the way she crosses paths with Caleb Graham, a bounty hunter who just happens to be a werewolf. She saves Caleb from a dangerous situation. Their adventure begins with both of them avoiding the truth about who/what they are. Along the way they get into some hilarious lol situations. The plot is filled with action & some twists that you don't see coming. Eventually, they start learning to trust each other, though they were both hiding things. The story was intense at times, abuse is scary & the author shows this very clearly. Still, for the most part, the story was presented in a lighthearted way. In the end, Harper’s trademark snarky humor and the sexy-times outweigh the social issue and the book is both enjoyable and thought-provoking. Like all Molly’s books, I just devoured it. If you like paranormal romances than I highly recommend the book.

Harper & Ronconi delivers the best in series
Rating: A+
Things I’ve come to expect from Molly Harper’s Naked Werewolf series.
- Sexy and over protect werewolf
- Spunky heroine
- Sassy snark and pop culture references that keep me smiling and laughing
How to Run With a Naked Werewolf is werewolf love story that starts with Anna saving Caleb after being shot and almost ran over in the street near her job as a grocery store cashier. Anna has no clue who Caleb is but she can’t stand by while he’s hurt. She manages to get him into his truck and they speed away to start a sexy and funny road trip across the cold Alaskan country side where the unlikely pair find love.
When we meet Anna we find out she’s a cashier at a local grocery store with a questionable past. She’s always running and changing her name and hair color. So what better job for her mysterious patient to have? Bounty hunter. Being a hardcore Molly Harper fan I knew when I found out that sexy werewolf, Caleb was a bounty hunter there would be a Dog the Bounty Hunter reference somewhere.
Anna is running from her past life and she happens to know all about werewolves, something she keeps from Caleb. This leads to funny situations where Caleb tries to hide what he is from Anna. And in turn she loves to make little jokes that if Caleb just paid attention to he would figure out that Anna knows what he is.
The couple couldn’t be any different from each other. Anna is very petite, pale, and blonde where Caleb is very large, olive skinned and a dark haired. Both of course are lookers and they find the other one attractive but Anna tries to keep her distance because she doesn’t trust people (most of all men). Caleb tries to take things slow with Anna fearing she will run if he doesn’t.
Slowly over the course of their road trip Anna helps Caleb with bounty hunter job by becoming a kind of assistant to him, doing the paperwork while he grabs the guys/gals that he is trying to bring in for the bounties. Some of Caleb’s bounties doesn’t sit well with Anna because she sympathies with why they are running and some of the wrong choices they made to get their names on Caleb’s hunting list. So the couple butts heads a few times over his job.
How to Run is easily my favorite book in the series so far so if you’re looking for a werewolf romance with heart and humor you really should check out Molly Harper’s How to Run with a Naked Werewolf. You could safely read this installment without having read the other two but I highly recommend the whole series.

Three's a crowd.
S'okay. I've listened to both of the earlier volumes in this series and all of the Half Moon Hollow series. As I mentioned in a review of one of them, I'm not usually attracted to books labeled funny but ... I loved the constant stream of puns, non-sequiturs and plays on clichés and commercials in those books. The romances between the feisty woman and strong fellas was enjoyable without too much (for a guy) bodice-ripping.
Perhaps Ms. Harper's run low on her supply of quips and one-liners. Please, if this is the first Molly Harper book you've encountered, don't buy it (now). Start one of the earlier books. They are GREAAATTTT, as my friend Tony (or was it Flicka?) used to say. Do buy it when you need the ending of the Grundy story.
Yes, I will buy more books from Ms. Harper and sample anything narrated by Ms. Ronconi.
[Just, please don't tell Amazon or Kindle my buying plans. I suspect them both of raising prices based on the individual's buying history ... if I buy one, the next one seems more expensive. Perhaps I should sneak in as an avatar?]

Really Enjoyed this Book....Hope it's not the last
Would you consider the audio edition of How to Run with a Naked Werewolf to be better than the print version?
Yes, because of the performance of Amanda Ronconi. You can almost see the book come to life with her narration.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved Anna/Tina personallity. LOL, she picked a bar fight to help her man. I liked Caleb's loveable ways.
Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listen to all of the Molly Harper Series. Plus another series where Amanda Ronconi started out as the narrator
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did listen to it in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
I really enjoy the Naked Werewolf series, I hope this isn't the last of this series. I think I would enjoy a crossover series.

Molly does it again
Of all of Harper's series, "Naked" is by far my favorite. There is a depth of characters in these stories that make them so much fun to follow.
I love all the layers of the main character. I love that she cooks, I love her constant combat with her role as a leader and I love her relationship with her family.
In her new adventure, Harper adds the clash of the present with the past. Which direction does she want to go?
Harper manages to keep the story lines familiar like an old friend, while keeping it so fresh. There are a lot of books out there these days with similar concepts, NO one does it like Harper. All the others feel like there are trying to copy Harper, none of them do it so well.
I love that the narrator was recognized by Harper. She really does make it even more fun.
I can't recommend this book highly enough. Yes, though, you will enjoy this book more if you start from the beginning, just so you don't miss out on anything

Witty and fun
This one has a more serious undertone. But the majority of the story was funny. Again too much overly descriptive sex. But I like the dialogue (outside the sex scenes). I like the link t Half Moon Hollow.

My Favorite in the Naked Werewolf Series So Far
My Initial Reaction...
I launched into How to Run with a Naked Werewolf immediately after finishing The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf, eager to continue watching the lives of my favorite Alaskan community. And once again, I was shocked and disappointed. Someday I will learn to read the synopsis for this series (assuming it's not over), since had I read it, I would have known that How to Run with a Naked Werewolf did NOT actually take place in Grundy, Alaska with the Colombian Basin Pack. And yet somehow, it's my favorite book in the Naked Werewolf series so far.
The Narration...
I know you have to be sick of me praising Amanda Ronconi - I'm almost tired of it. And yet, she continues to deliver fantastic performances. She just GETS the characters and makes them come to life, complete with appropriate differentiation between characters and of course, her trademark snark. I recommend any book read by her.
The Characters...
How to Run with a Naked Werewolf is told from the point of view of Anna, whose connected to the Columbian Basin Pack we love by being their former doctor. Their former doctor on the run. Anna was hiding out with the pack (though they didn't know it) because she was running from her husband. He got controlling and abusive and she finally had enough. But he's the type that won't let her go - and now he's caught her scent again, so she's on the run again. As you can imagine, her experiences have made Anna a bit skiddish, particularly around men. She doesn't trust them (or anyone, really). But at the same time, she's a strong chic, even if she's not fully aware of it. I mean, it takes a lot to run away from that life, not to mention to become a doctor to werewolves!
And it's lucky for Caleb that she's been a werewolf doctor, because when she first meets him it's saving his butt. He's injured in a shoot out and she helps him escape and then tends to his wounds. It takes her only minutes to realize that he's healing way too fast and that he must be a werewolf too. In fact, she figures out quickly EXACTLY who he is. He's also connected to the Columbian Basin Pack - he grew up there, but with his father's death, he doesn't spend much time there. Instead, he's a bounty hunter, putting his wolfy skills to money making use. He's sort of what you'd expect in a bounty hunter - he's got a job to do and he's doing it - pushing emotions aside. But he's got a softer side, which Anna totally brings out in him.
The Story...
So the story for How to Run with a Naked Werewolf revolves around this massive road trip basically. Anna has to get to her new papers and life, Caleb has jobs to do on the way, so he takes her along with him. What makes it really fun is that Anna doesn't tell Caleb that she knows who he is - so he thinks he has to hide that he's a werewolf from her. Waiting to see that shoe drop was entertaining - I kept thinking it was going to happen and then it wouldn't!
The other really fun part of this plot was seeing their relationship grow, despite Anna's lies. They fall into this comfortable friendship. She gradually opens up to him and he gradually relaxes around her. She starts helping him with his work - doing all his paperwork and organizing his jobs - of course she's doing it to push him along towards her destination more quickly, but it turns into this perfect relationship. And all the while they're flirting, but never crossing that line. And you're waiting for that shoe to drop too - when will they realize that they're falling in love?
Concluding Sentiments...
As always with these books, there was tons of humor of the sassy and snarky kind. You've got a snarky heroine and an overprotective wolf, which Molly has proven time and again makes for a fanastic combo. Loved every minute!

Awesome!
I am sure there is not much more I can add to the great things that have already been said about this book. It is another rock solid installment of Molly Harper's Werewolf series. All her books have been excellent, so to meet the hight expectations I had for this one is impressive. This book was a joy, it was nice to hear from some of the characters from the prior books and the romance between Anna/Tina and Caleb is great. This book does deal with some domestic abuse, but over all it is a typical humorous, fun romantic story from Molly Harper and a must for any paranormal romance fan.
Also I have to add that the performance is excellent and really adds to the enjoyment. I think this is one series that is better in audio due to the fabulous narration.
