Sisters Amanda Foster and Erin Turner have little in common except the childhood bedroom they once shared and the certainty each feels that her way of life is best. Amanda follows the rules - at the school where she works; in her community; and as a picture-perfect daughter, wife, and mother-to-be. Erin follows her heart - in love and otherwise - living a bohemian lifestyle on a shoestring budget and honoring her late father’s memory with a passion for music and her fledgling bath-products business.

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

With a name like Quinn Calahan, I sounded as Irish as a leprechaun dancing a jig on a four leafed clover, but the truth was, I’d never been closer to the emerald isle than drinking green beer at the St Patrick’s day street party in Boston until I messed up so badly I had to leave the US. I was offered a job in a tiny village in Ireland that no one’s ever heard of. And I think that was the point in sending me there.

Summary
Anastasia Villiers has hit rock bottom. And that rock is named Espoir Island.
Abandoned by her disgraced investment banker husband who liquidated all of their assets and fled the country, Anastasia is left with nothing - except for Fishscale House, a broken-down Queen Anne in the Michigan hometown she swore she’d left for good.
If Ana quickly renovates and flips the dilapidated building, she can get back to Manhattan and salvage her life. The problem? The only person on the island with historical renovation cred is Ned Fitzroy - Ana’s first love - who insists she help him with the labor herself. As Ana gets reacquainted with Ned, and her hometown, she realizes home may be just what she’s always wanted.

Felt like I had already listened
I love Molly Harper, but I really wish Audible would have marketed this audiobook differently. It's a nice story. Actually really liked it, but I already bought it as a collection of stories called "I loved you First." Nowhere in the description did it say that this story was already published in this collection, so now I have it twice.

Molly Harper strikes again
Pasties and Poor Decisions is another cute stand alone novella by the ever delightful Molly Harper. The one-two combo of Harper and Amanda Ronconi as narrator is inextricably connected in my brain so I was delighted to find this little treat in my list of suggestions because I thought I’d listened yo everything she’d written already. My only complaint - too short! I could have handled another 3 hrs of Anna’s personal journey.

The perfect palate cleanser
Molly Harper has such a charming style of writing!! Her characters make me wish they were all “real” and my best friends…even the paranormal variety. This story was the perfect charming interlude between longer, denser books…Amanda Ronconi, who narrates all of Molly Harper’s books is one of the best. Looking for a short book that will lift your mood…well, here you go!
