Summary
Former elite Federation soldier, now turned space pirate, Jackson Burke has done his best to turn his life around - for the better. He isn't prepared when fate leaves a woman's safety totally in his hands. Since heroes don't leave a damsel in distress - and despite being outlaw pirates - the crew considers themselves the good guys, so Jackson assumes responsibility for the beauty.
It’s hard enough that his ship is held together by rust and sheer will, now he's got to keep this good-guy thing straight and not give in to the urges the sassy female brings out in him. Raisa is everything a man could want, and for some reason, she seems to like him, rough edges and all, but he's on the Federation's wanted list, and they aren't known to back down.

Strongly Written
Michelle’s writing has always intrigued me, she writes characters that seem so realistic even with the crazy situations she puts them in. These books are standalone but they give so much more when the rest if the books are listened to as well. The whole book had me on edge in the best way wondering what was going to happen next and wondering how the characters would get out of the next situation. Absolutely loved this book

Another Great Addition to the Series
Michelle M Pillow has done it again and created yet another fun and entertaining addition to the Space Lords series. Plenty of action, twists and turns and a little bit of snarky wit from Rick along the way! Looking forward to Rick’s story next!

What an adventure!
This was a non-stop action book with a perfect blend of humour and suspense.
It's always a joy to read anything by this author and I particularly enjoy this oddly mismatched space pirates. They were previously cursed due to Rick and his blabber mouth insulting a powerful ghost, but actually it seems to have worked out pretty well for the majority of the crew because love has most certainly found a way ! Then all their other bad luck struck. Now Jackson, trying to stay out of sight of the Military Federation who wants him back, brought more trouble to them by assuming responsibility for this female stranger! I highly recommend these stories in order, but you can listen than as standalone. Each story builds on each other but are wonderful stories in their own right. Each character is amazing and builds up with every story in the series. I fall more and more in love with this group with every book and every page. They are hilarious and the steam between the main characters never disappoints. I can't stop saying how fun these guys are! Never. a dull moment with these space pirates.

Nice story
Entertaining and well-paced story. Humor, suspense, and an enjoyable storyline make for a great listen. Characters are likable and interesting. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fab
Book 4 in the Space Lord series sees Jackson rescuing Raisa and taking her back to their ship and making sure she’s safe and looked after . Another great addition to the series it was great to see the softer side of Jackson.
