Summary

One day, she thought, one moment, one innocent game. How was it that day, that moment, that game never seemed to end?

Caitlyn Sullivan is just nine years old when a game of hide-and-seek at a family party will change her life forever.

The betrayal she experienced that night will shape Caitlyn's life - and for years she runs and runs, hiding from the aftermath of the trauma. But Caitlyn comes to realise that if she wants to not just survive but thrive, she must return to the family home to face up to her past.

What happened that night may always haunt Caitlyn, but she must decide if it's what you're running from that matters. Or who finds you.

A bit cheesy

It was OK but a bit cheesy dialogue. Good to listen to when doing something else.

not as good as some others

I have been collecting and reading Nora Roberts books for many years and am sorry to say this is not one of her best. I read it all in one go but just to see if it would get better. the story had no depth to it and was without substance . I will probably read it again sometime but only to see if it gets better second time around.

Awesome

Another brilliant audio book from Nora Robert's. As always January LaVoy did a great job as narrator.

Review

Storytelling was exceptional and added depth to a good story but did feel the last chapter did lack some tension. However, overall was enjoy able.

Enjoyable story

This is my second Nora Roberts book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. It wasn’t a ‘page turner’ but easy to listen too. The main character was a little bit sugary sweet, and the storyline a bit predictable.

Narration: I know it has annoyed others from reading the reviews before handing over my credit, but it didn’t spoil it for me and I enjoyed the characterisations.

I would recommend this to anyone liking a bit of Hollywood glitz and a good old fashioned love story.

I look forward to listening to some of Norah’s other books.

Crime/Love Story

Very long winded, content more geared towards a love story than a crime story but narrator was excellent.

Great narrator

This was a good story, with good characters but the highlight was how well it was narrated. Quite compulsive - recommended.

Great story, but amazing voices

I'm new to this author,so thanks to Audible for suggesting her. I'm not a big fan of romance genre, buy it is growing on me, and so finding titles like this help me find a comfortable space. It has plenty of story and action, and the characters develop over time. Personally, I thought it was too long, but it did keep me engaged to the satisfying end. Nora Roberts has written over 200 books, so I guess she knows what she's doing more than me!
I would like to add another star to the performance, as this was truly awesome, as there were so many characters, all delivered flawlessly.

Good but not vintage

Quite a few echoes of earlier books. More predictable than many of her stories. Some good characters but I found it quite hard to engage with Cait.
