Summary
An original novella set in the Halo Universe and based on the New York Times best-selling video game series!
Find. Claim. Profit.
In a postwar galaxy littered with scrap, it's the salvager's motto. And with a fast ship and a lust for adventure, Rion Forge has certainly made her mark on the trade. When the discovery of a wrecked UNSC cruiser brings Rion's past back to haunt her, stirring fresh hope into a decades-old wound, she's hell-bent on finding answers: What really happened to her father and his ship, the Spirit of Fire? This novella also contains the complete text of Kelly Gay's short story "Into the Fire", originally featured in the collection Halo: Fractures.

brilliant writing for an original halo idea
a great listen, Scott Brick does an amazing performance as always, such a joy listening to him get into characters and giving them certain knacks, he can be a little bit deadpan on the odd occasion but nevertheless a great performance. The sorry has good pacing all round, although I felt like it ended quite abruptly but was very well rounded and all in all a great place for this book to end

The character
A grate start to a trilogy of books even if it’s a bit short but it’s definitely an amazing start can’t wait to read the next one

4 hours long must be the shortest halo title
I really dislike the Performance from this guy he’s done a fair few titles now and his performance is awful
Seems a rip off as most other titles are 8hrs or over

Great Continuation of Halo Universe
Following up long after the covenant war, continuing the hunt for not only the salvage of war, but the a hunt for missing family to bring closer in the hunt for a lost ship
Stumbling upon Forerunner technology bring the ghosts of passed to life and hope amid grief and death
Each character has a life of there own which is brought to life by a fantastic performance that keeps you wanting more
Continuing the Halo universe without taking anything away

Gripping but too short
Nice take on a story after the end of Halo Wars game and what became of the characters. Or you get left wondering since the book doesn't give any answers. That's my only real complaint. Other than that, stellar performance of the narrator as usual.

Finally a Halo novel about the Wars games!
I feel like Halo Wars is an underrated game and it shows in the novels because this is the first novel that even slightly references it. So it’s really nice to see those games get some recognition.
The story is really interesting too. Normally this stuff is from the point of view of ONI or the UNSC. It’s not often we get a story from the perspective of a civilian. Or in this case a scavenger.
Definitely worth the listen if you fancy something a bit different. 10/10

Hopefully leads into something greater
Interesting read, a bit short compared to Gays others works but hopefully it sets up plot lines for later works that will actually be included in future halo games
