Summary
How can you be both the boss everyone wants to work for, and the high achiever every CEO wants to hire - all without drama, stress, or endless hours in the office? Great Leaders Have No Rules shows how a contrarian approach can be a better, faster, and easier way to succeed as a leader.
Kruse shows with real-world case studies and quantitative research that you need to: Close your open door policy, play favorites, turn off your smartphone, show weakness, crowd your calendar and more.

Really enjoyed the book it gave a lot of insight
Leadership is a dark art as the author says but this book really does help to demystify that art. Full of real world examples it's great for anyone just starting out or experienced leaders.

like Kevin's style
I have Kevin's 15 secrets to time management, from that I got this, I find the way he talks about subjects, gives you insight and actionable results. all you need is one idea from a book to make it worth it, I gain a few and they all make more money due to efficiencies

Nice audiobook
A good audiobook for new or aspiring managers. Great structure with a useful chapter summarizing everything. I can’t say it was the greatest book. I also don’t agree with some of the radical ideas about it, e.g. the one about revealing salaries, which sounds great when everything else is sorted out in your company, so, don’t know how realistic that can be. Still worth a listen.

Why insert politics?
I was enjoying this until Kevin felt a need to be insulting to former president Trump. I guess these people don't realize they insult half of the audience when they do this, or they just don't care what we think or feel. Why do they need to jump on the HATE bandwagon? Peer pressure? That is really too bad - very disappointing.

Excellent Guide for Leaders
This book is not providing information that is revolutionary in the field of leadership. It does provide some proven principles that are supported by science and in-depth studies. If you listen to the LeadX Podcast you already know the author and how well he presents information.
I have many years of leadership experience but found sections of this book that will prove very useful to me. I am excited to move away from a To Do List and start using my Calendar to manage my days.

Not Terrible, Not Groundbreaking
Pretty average in the world of leadership books. The principles weren't groundbreaking revelations, but they weren't terrible advice. A couple were common sense.

Warning ‼️‼️ Don’t buy this book
While listening to this audio book it became apparent that the author doesn’t actually know leadership .It’s all terrible advice that comes off as second hand story telling. I tried to like it and was open minded at first, but after chapter 2 I knew the rest of the book would be trash. Don’t waste your credit.

Another great book by Kevin
I loved this book for many reasons, but the biggest being the fact that Kevin shares some of his most vulnerable moments in his career. Definitely worth a listen.

Worth the read no question....
This was a great book. These days when there are more rules and feelings based weaknesses all around us now holding society back. The book theme fits well for someone strong enough to leave the common heard.
