Why isn't this universal practice?
I have worked as a trainer for a number of multi-nationals and SMEs in North America, North Africa and Europe. I was . requested to train team leaders and department managers in this subject whilst working in Italy. I knew very little about it, but had a few days to design a three hour workshop on this subject. A google search introduced me to Kevin Kruse! I watched his videos, read his books and still do. I even emailed Kevin and received a personal reply. How many busy people would do that?
With the guidance in this book I have designed and delivered very successful training sessions that I know were well received and got great feedback from the delegates.
I put that success down to the personal commitment to this practice, the enthusiastic delivery of the message and clearly phenomenal amount of work put in by Kevin.
Whatever you are leading this book is a must...

Rich and quick, filled with practical tips that can be immediately applied
As the head of 15-person company, this book was rich with insights that I plan to immediately test out. And the best part is that I didn't have to spend hours wading through the fluff to get to these pearls of insight... A perfect companion to your book on productivity, thanks for this Kevin!

To the point with actionable advice
I love the fact that the book was super short and got straight to the point. I loved that it told me exactly what to do. I love that it didn't gloss over things like the fact that employees could express hesitancy or mistrust of the process. I loved the fact that the author did the narrating, so we could feel his emotions and emphasis.
this is a great book. get it and take it to heart.

Send this to your CEO
I have a presentation this Friday on this subject. I would love to encourage that I see our company going places, I see potential and the people that will get us there are the people in that room.

For "quick tip" fanatics
Got under 2h to spare? Listen to this. Narrator/author has a very energetic, positive voice. Straight to the point, no fluff which I appreciate. I feel book lacked a little extra evidence to make the suggestions more believable, but overall it contained great, memorable lists of what one can do to help employees become more engaged. Next book to read: how one can achieve this when you are not the one in charge, because this is not something the author explored in depth.

A short listen for sure
If you’re looking for in-depth ideas and ways to improve employee engagement, I don’t believe this is the book for you.
It is definitely a quick listen and worth the while if you’re looking for something simple and quick but not what I was after in the end.
