Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of science fiction and paranormal romance brings another action, adventure, and suspense-filled story to transport listeners out of this world. Gracie Jones was little more than a child when Earth was invaded by an alien species. Escaping into the subway tunnels of New York City, she hid in fear of being captured. Discovered by four men who became her protectors, she fought alongside them, and they became known as the Freedom Five. At 17, she made a decision that turned the tide in the war between Earth and the Alluthans, but in exchange, she gave up all that she knew. Kordon Jefe is a Zion Warrior and the commanding officer in charge of the Confederation of Planets' military. When an unknown species begins attacking some of their outer settlements, he is assigned to discover who they are and stop them - at any cost. Gracie finds herself stranded millions of light years and hundreds of years in the future in a distant galaxy on an undeveloped moon. When an old enemy threatens once more, she does not hesitate to use her knowledge to try to stop them once again. Only this time, it is not just Earth she will be saving, but the Confederation itself. When their two worlds are thrown together, Kordon is unsure what to do with the strange, delicate creature who fights and behaves unlike anyone he has ever encountered before. One thing he does know - he plans to keep her.

Excellent Storyline

If you could sum up Gracie's Touch in three words, what would they be?

Compelling, Addictive, Enjoyable

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gracie's Touch?

When she sets out to upload the virus into the alien craft and she's saying goodbye to eveyone.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

When she's crash landed on the planet and is trying to reach out to someone to hear her. The hope that she feels that she can actually connect to someone is inspiring.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Compelling adventure on how to believe and hold out hope.

Any additional comments?

I loved Gracie's Touch and the storyline that this series followed. S.E. Smith certainly knows how to get you addicted. I've read this story a couple of times and listened to the audio version a few time and can honestly say I love listening to it just as much as I enjoyed reading it.

I love SE Smith books!

And this is no different. Sci-fi Romance at its best - unique worlds to immerse yourself in, characters you can get behind, plots that keep you surgically attached to the book. Happy Sigh!

Bk 2 pls *cheesy happy grin*

An interesting story

I wasn't exactly sure when I started this if I was going to like it as I hadn't read the book. The beginning sets the scene which was well done. The male voice did the female characters brilliantly and they all sounded different as did the men. the men also had the amazing deepness that is great to listen to. Loved the meeting and how they got together. The reactions to the news was written and said very well. I enjoyed it immensely.

Improbably perfect heroine but still enjoyable

If you can suspend disbelief enough to accept that Gracie is a linguistic and coding genius, who is responsible for every single significant development and victory in the battle against invading aliens, as well as being a survival expert and instantly beloved by everyone she meets, this is an enjoyable and light read. If not, you'll spend the entire book going 'Seriously!?'

Despite the, frankly, ludicrous plot, Gracie's touch is written with enough humour and warmth that you don't instantly hate Gracie and her (extremely fast) relationship with Kordon is actually rather sweet. He's very stern and strong with everyone else, but she definitely wears the trousers when they're not in the bedroom. Despite the fact that he doesn't really do anything, except rescue Gracie after she saves everyone else, wait for her to wake up after being injured, worry and have sex (a lot), Kordon doesn't come across as a wimp, which is quite an impressive achievement!

The narration is generally good, but having the sex scenes read aloud made me wince a bit. Despite all it's flaws, I like this book, but it's not as good as Krac's story, which is the next in the series.

Gracie definitely touched me

S E Smith has done it again. Another well thought out storyline that grabs you, and makes you want to know what happens next. I like David Brenin as the narrator, especially as he doesn't try to put on accents, but tells the story, with, what I think, is a voice that makes you want to listen for hours. This book didn't appear on the U.K. website right away, but when I got in touch with S E Smith about it, she and her team worked hard to find out what the problem was and rectified it. I really enjoyed listening to this book and am waiting patiently for the next.

Garcie's Touch

This first book in the Zion Warriors was full of of action, the romance was good too. Gracie was well created and she did carry the story very wel, I thought that the action was well balanced and rolled along very nicely can't wait to read the next book
