Summary

Josey Wales was the most wanted man in Texas. His wife and child had been lost to pre-civil War destruction and, like Jesse James and other young farmers, he joined the guerrilla soldiers of Missouri-men with no cause but survival and no purpose but revenge.

Great story, great narration

Well narrated story from beginning to end. Unlike many other books that become films, the movie stayed true to the book. Probably the greatest western story of all time.

Good old fashioned western

Have to say Chet Williamson is perfect for this brilliant western. If you enjoy the days when men your men , this is your book. It is a very easy listen to and read. The characters are well written and believable . Josey Wales is a strong male , who fights injustices. Loved this book

The movie is very close to the original book.....

....in may ways. The dialogue of the book is the same if slightly more detailed. Worth a listen if you enjoyed the film.

I certainly enjoyed it.

Well researched historical novel

If as it said, the characters were all true, this was a masterful way in which to weave a story. Delightful listening!
