Story
Every child of Glasnith learns the last words of Aillira, the god-gifted mortal whose doomed love affair sparked a war of gods and men, and Lira of clan Stone knows the story better than most. As a descendant of Aillira and god-gifted in her own right, she has the power to read people's souls, to see someone's true essence with only a touch of her hand. Story
An inn is a place to rest, a place to talk and share stories, a place to find adventure, or a starting ground for quests and legends. It is in this world, at least. To Erin Solstice, an inn seems like a medieval relic from the past. But here she is, running from Goblins and trying to survive in a world full of monsters and magic. She’d be more excited about all of this if everything wasn’t trying to kill her. But an inn is what she’s found, and so that’s what she becomes; an innkeeper, who serves drinks to heroes and monsters. Mostly monsters. But it’s a living, right?

Amazing book
well I got this mostly because its 3 in one but iv also really liked story's of the gods of many different pantheons but Norse mythology I was not sure because of the "movies" but this was awesome following along with Odin and meeting so many of the others. but this goes much more into detail and it made me feel as though I was just a step behind him at some points. If your expecting lightning and a hammer along with a guy with flowing golden lock I would change them

One of the best series I've come across in a while
Matt is a master storyteller. To me, this is one of those works of prose where every sentence and story twist is perfectly handcrafted to flow from one to the next. When I started listening I thought the story wouldn't be too different from the original Norse mythology it is inspired from. I was wrong, Matt takes familiar characters and weaves a whole new story that feels both modern and classic. He also sprinkles his prose with older English words to further immerse the reader into his fantastical world without overdoing it. I'm sooo happy I found this gem of a series, and even happier that I still have so much more to go through!
Also, the narrator is a heck of a voice actor. He really sounds like an old wizard narrating a tale.

Maybe it’s Me
Maybe I don’t understand the genre but I had difficulty listening. There seemed to be an overwhelming amount of detail, and soon enough, it was all just zooming over my head. If it’s possible, I became cross-eyed listening to this, and I threw in the towel somewhere around Chapter 16 of Book 1. I’m a big fan of Norse Mythology, but I just couldn’t get my teeth into this. Sorry.

one of the best books I've ever listen too. the narrator was perfect and story filled with twist and turn with a unique magic system. Best rendition of the norse gods too while not sticking to their story too much.
