Summary
I’m falling in love with a demon, but is my soul worth the risk?
Life used to be simple: work during the week, ghost-hunting on the weekends. I was always better with ghosts than guys, anyway. But life gets a lot more complicated when a violent haunting threatens our paranormal investigation team and a sexy stranger who claims to be a demon is the only one who can help.
When someone breaks into my apartment and leaves a warning, I begin to realize that sometimes, the living are a lot more terrifying than ghosts. The problem is, I have no idea if the warning is about the demon Maxwell or a ghost we’re trying to help. Then, someone tries to kill me, and I don’t know if I’m the target of a demon hunter or something worse....

A twist on a paranormal story
This is book 1 in a ghost story by Beth Dolgner. Beth wrote a strong story very detailed, strong characters, some are likeable and one is an attention seeker . This one is a strong stoy with a twist. There are not only ghosts m but a demon that is getting vicious with a homeowner.
Sam has an incident in his home. He calls Betty ( nickname Betty Boo ) but he also calls her arch rival , the attention seeker , Carter. Both Carter and Betty think it’s a ghost but Betty gets help from someone ( Maxwell) you will wonder how he appeared in Betty life.
Love how Maxwell saves Betty not only once but a few times. Grab it and see what twist Beth did with Maxwell character
First time I heard : Lisa Bozek. I like how she did this story. Her voice is clear and strong

In this category of story ( fun, supernatural not overly gory)
This is a fun, well paced, not to superfluous story in a category I look to for fun and feel good.

Enchanting Paranormal Romance
I thought this first book of the "Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter Series" was entertaining. The story was charming. The characters were delightful. The mystery was intriguing. There were flashes of humor. My only issue was my own difficulty over the word demon. Can a person fall in love with a demon? Lisa Bozek's narration was fine, and her voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Great paranormal Cozy
When Betty Boorman, or Betty Boo as she is known to her friends, responds to a call about a haunting with her ghost hunting team, she realizes she is up against something much worse. She deduced this when said entity scorched her hair. Stumped about what to do, she is surprised when a very handsome man tells her that he can help. She reluctantly calls Maxwell for help, and from that moment on, her life seems to gather chaos. Carter Lansford, a rival ghost hunter in Savanna, asks Betty to help him with a ghost problem at a local law firm, the haunting and their part in solving the mystery is made very public. After two break-ins at her apartment, Betty realizes she is in trouble. Add to this a mysterious man stalking her and her new love interest, who is a demon, and soon Betty has a life full of actions and things that go bump in the night.
Beth Dolgner is the author of the Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast books, and the Betty Boo series consists of four books. This is the first and also an audiobook. The story is exciting and easy to listen to, the narrator is excellent, and one can hear the emotions of the various characters and their varied voices. There are some sensual scenes, but nothing explicit and the language is without profanity; therefore, I would recommend it to anyone over 18 who likes paranormal cosies. Look out for the review of the second book.

Really Liked It!!
This is the first book I have listened to by this author and I am pleasantly surprised! I did not know what to expect but the synopsis sounded really good and I was not disappointed! I liked the characters and the development of them through the book. I liked the narration as well. I thought she did a really good job and it was easy to tell who was speaking throughout the book! I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series!! 😀

Interesting story
I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This is the first book by this author that I have read. I found the story to be good, with enough punch to keep me interested and wanting to get to the end. I found Betty to be a likeable main character and am intrigued by Maxwell. The remaining cast of characters provided a comfortable background for the mystery and the romance to play against.
I did not anticipate who was going to turn out to be the villian. The ending was a bit deflating- it seemed to be a huge buildup to everything, and then a hurriedly executed wrap-up. I would have liked to see a bit more tension before everything was neatly tied up and concluded.
As a new to audio books person, it was interesting to have all the characters read by one person. In the beginning, it was a bit difficult to adjust to the various voice inflections used by the narrator,, but as the story continued it became more comfortable and I was able to know who was speaking just by the inflections used.
I find that I may be interested in checking other books in this series to see where things go from here.

Great Performance and Story
I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I have read all of the Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter books, and really enjoyed them and this audio book. There's the right mix of suspense, romance and humor. I believe Ms. Bozek did a great job varying the character voices. My only complaint was that my book skipped and replayed in several places. Still, I can't wait for the rest of the books to be available in audio, so that I can get them.
