Story
Gaslighting. What it is, how you can spot it - and how you can break free. He's the charmer - the witty, confident but overly controlling date. She's the woman on your team who always manages to take credit for your good work. He's the neighbour who swears you've been putting your rubbish into his bins or the politician who can never admit to a mistake. Gaslighters are master controllers and manipulators, often challenging your very sense of reality.

Story
Three terminally stylish friends, who share rivalrous affections, attempt to uncoil their twisted love triangle in this sexy and scandalous gem. Written in 1932, the play was deemed extremely daring, and even by today's standards is considered controversial. In its frank and funny take on sex, love, and commitment, Design for Living proves to be one of Coward's greatest successes.

Story
In Craven House, among the shifting, uncertain world of the English boardinghouse, with its sad population of the shabby genteel on the way down and the eternal optimists who would never get up or on, the young Patrick Hamilton, with loving, horrified fascination, first mapped out the territory that he would make uniquely his own. Although many of Hamilton's lifelong interests are here, they are handled with a youthful brio and optimism conspicuously absent from his later work.

Story
This is the never-before-told story of the musical revolution that happened right under the nose of the Reagan '80s - when a small but sprawling network of bands, labels, fanzines, radio stations, and other subversives reenergized American rock with punk rock's do-it-yourself credo and created music that was deeply personal, often brilliant, always challenging, and immensely influential. This sweeping chronicle of music, politics, drugs, fear, loathing, and faith has been recognized as an indie rock classic in its own right.

A disappointing adaptation.
This excellent play by Patrick Hamilton suffers in this woefully inadequate rendition which is a shame because the cast does include the talented Emilia Fox. This poorly directed audio piece will not withstand the test of time.

Excellent adaptation!
I saw this play at a local theatre a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Okay, the 'whodunnit' aspect of the story is set out from the start, there's no dramatic twist or anything but I still thought it was a great story. This adaptation is excellent so I am surprised by the reviews that say otherwise. Emilia Fox is fantastic as the gaslighted wife and plays the distress well (with plenty of practice from playing the most danger-prone pathologist on television - we love her for it though!). I am very pleased to have it in my library so that I can enjoy it as many times as I want!
