Critic reviews

"Gaiman has a deft touch for surprise and inventiveness, and there are inspired moments." ( Publishers Weekly)
"Gaiman again proves himself a perverse romantic, heir not only to Poe and Baudelaire but to the breathless Pre-Raphaelites....The collection also boasts lush prose...and a winning faith in the enchantment of stories. Expect the unexpected. Then savor the luscious chills." ( Kirkus)

Bit of a mishmash.

A few interesting storylines but an awful lot of self indulgence and musings by the author .

Neil Gaiman, what a babe

The only thing better than reading Neil Gaiman is having him read to you.
I couldn't recommend it more, the short stories are the perfect length to complete on my commute, making my day a lot brighter

Thoroughly enjoyable

Great stories and great narration by the author.

The stories are mostly a little on the dark side, which isn’t my usual choice, but I love the imagery and strange places and characters I was taken to in Neil’s writing.

Delightful

As always this collection of Neil Gaiman stories is well worth the credit and time. The stories are small delights, and Neil is an excellent reader of his own work (something which can't be said of many authors). I wholeheartedly recommend this.
