Summary

An enemies-to-lovers lesbian sports romance about making it to the finish line.

A koala ruined her life. Well, that's how elite athlete Shan Metz sees it.

When an idiot charity runner in a koala suit trips Shan during a community fun run, her knee blows out, destroying her dream of making the Australian Commonwealth Games team. Recovering from knee surgery will be bad enough, but living on her building's fourth floor will make it a nightmare.

Consultant Lizzie Carras, aka the dream-wrecking koala, does guilt like a pro. The only decent thing to do is offer Shan her spare bedroom during recovery. Their incompatible lifestyles don't help matters. Neither does Shan's training partner, the haughty and possessive Celia. But they'll muddle through until Shan's knee has healed enough to get out of Lizzie's life.

Because it's not like Shan would ever miss a dream-wrecking koala or anything. Right?

Contains mature themes.

I loved everything about this story. Wonderfully written and the narrator is absolute perfection. Made me wanna start running... and get a rescue dog... and join a fun gay choir... 😃 ♡

rescue dog

worth 5☆ just for presto
low angst mostly , beautiful story of accidental meeting at worst time becoming an enemies to lovers worrying about commitment, both to each other and dreams, well written never easing as the story develops.
narration is good just not my favourite, but takes nothing away, and great to have original accent.
overall definitely a read again.

Good book

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The story was good and moved along at a good pace. Not too slow and not jumping right in. As these stories go, it wasn’t on point predictable, which was nice. The narration seemed good to me and the writing was well done. Thumbs up! 👍🏻

Repetitive

Repetitive and boring. The things get said and thought about over and over again. Not much else happens.

Good story

The last few chapters of the book gave the feeling of forced but the whole story was good, I like Cat gould’s voice, but it is hard for me to listen to her performance her Australian accent is very heavy.

Moving The Mile Markers

Elite runner Shan Metz is competing for a spot in the Australian Games when she trips over a woman in a Koloa costume. Lizzie Carras is on a fun run with her best friend and little boy when she trips Shan. An enemies to lovers story with a wonderful dog to the rescue. Love the author and narration.
