brilliant standalone and series
I have listened to all of the series, the emotions that have been pulled out of me due to the stories told are unbelievable!!
I would have liked to find out if Mia managed to have a child in the end and to see Heath matched up. I wanted to cry when his New Year ended so sad.😢

My new favorite audiobook of the series!
I loved that the story incorporated multiple couples at different points in their relationships. It was a little like having 5 novellas woven into a full length story about a winter trip with friends. It doesn't have any cliffhangers, but it doesn't stand alone because you will want to be familiar with the characters from the rest of the series.
I highly recommend the audiobook. Kirsten Leigh and Jason Clarke have done a fabulous with all the books in the series, but this one is another level up. They performed the story from nine points of view with distinct voices so that the characters were immediately recognizable from the voice alone. Very well done!

🎧 AUDIO REVIEW 🎧
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Audio was good one to listen to. Nice and easy to follow.
I liked them all coming together and the little competition that happened. I enjoyed the outcome of the stories and how they interacted together. Mia still not my favourite and the way she treat Adam sometimes but I do love her friends and Adam so it was enjoyable story.

A pleasure to meet them all once again
I had read about all the couples before–except Katya and Lucas–so I thought I knew what I was getting into. Sure, the characters haven’t changed, and some of the plotlines seemed obvious, but they were written well, and of course it was a pleasure to meet them all once again.
The four couples, plus Heath, end up in a house in the mountains, together, for the holidays. Adam and Mia are celebrating their anniversary; Jordan wants to propose to April in the most epic way; William and Jenna have late Christmas gifts to exchange; and Lucas and Katya are competing, again. What I picked up from their little dramas is that men are clueless and women are insecure.
Instead of writing four holidays novellas–one for each couple–the author combined them in one longer book. But, even though the couples interact with each other on some occasions, they really are four separate stories. Putting them all in one place just add a few ensemble scenes, that were really enjoyable. And funny.
The couples being on different stages of a relationship, they each had their own issues and their own misunderstanding. But their stories all explore what it means to be in a relationship. How to reconnect when you’re often away from each other? What’s more meaningful between telling and showing one’s love? What brings a couple–and keeps a couple–together?
It was only slightly holidays themed, but Heath’s chapter was beautiful and I loved it.
The other chapters alternate between the various characters. Which became a bit confusing in audio because there were only two narrators for all the characters. So even though the character is announced at the beginning of each chapter, I was a bit lost sometimes. Definitely not a book that you can listen do while doing something else. But that’s also a good thing, because both narrators are excellent, and it would be a shame to miss their perfect narration.
