Summary

Sometimes you can't change - and sometimes you just don't want to. Discover Ben's side of the story in this fourth novel by the beloved, top-selling indie author of Ten Tiny Breaths, One Tiny Lie and Four Seconds to Lose.

Purple-haired, sharp-tongued Reese MacKay knows all about making the wrong choice; she's made plenty of them in her 20-odd-years. So when her impulsive, short-lived marriage ends in heartbreak, she decides it's time for a change. She moves to Miami with the intention of hitting reset on her irresponsible life, and she does quite well…aside from an epically humiliating one-night stand in Cancun with a hot blond bouncer named Ben. Thank God she can get on a plane and leave that mistake behind her.

Football scholarship and frat parties with hot chicks? Part of charmer Ben Morris's plan. Blown knee that kills any hope of a professional football career? So not part of the plan. Luckily Ben has brains to go with his knockout looks and magnetism. After three long years of balancing law school with his job as a bouncer at Penny's Palace, he's ready to lead a more mature life - until his first day of work, when he finds himself in the office of that crazy, hot chick he met in Cancun. The one he hasn't stopped thinking about.

If Ben truly were a smart guy, he'd stay clear of Reese. She's the boss's stepdaughter and it's been made very clear that office romances are grounds for dismissal. Plus, rumor has it she's trouble. The only problem is: He likes trouble, especially when it's so good-looking…

beautiful love story.

Love this book. Story is sad but beautiful. The stories of the other characters stories are just as good and well thought out.

One of my favourites from the series!

Another great story by K.A Tucker. I'm sad to see this series end. I'd love more. I'd love more from different characters, but I'm excited to read her new series.

Audiobook for Five ways To Fall T.A Tucker

Reese is a Purple hair, pierced, spontaneous woman with Loads of spunk who likes to be a little bit of a rebel.
When she Marries her boyfriend of 6weeks she thought that they were madly in love, Only to come home from work one day to find him sleeping with his Ex girlfriend.
After doing something incredibly funny to her ex house she lands herself in a little bit of trouble.
After that she decides that she need a new start and moves to Miami.

Ben was all set for his Big Football career when in one fateful game he blows his knee out. He was always good at school so he dives into a different career path.

After Meeting a very drunk Reese one night Ben hasn’t been able to get her out of his head.

Now Ben is a Lawyer just out of collage when he starts at his friends dads firm, Where he turns up one day to see Reese is one of there paralegals.
I’m not going to give too much of this story away but it had me giggling and heartbroken for the young lives this couple have had to endure.

Listening to this Audiobook mad me what to run out and get all of K. A. Tuckers book due to reading them out of order now I have to catch up.
K.A. Tucker thank you for the hours of reading pleasure.

Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Louise and Deacon Lee – was your favourite?

I Love listening to both Elizabeth and Deacon.
I Found Deacon’s voice to be deep and sexy with so much humor when it was called for I felt he really delivered Ben rolls well.
Elizabeth sounds young and full of Sass just like her character has in this book.

Predictable Chick Lit

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I listened to the book but I felt it was way too predictable. I was rarely surprised about the story.

What will your next listen be?

My next listen is Lesley Pearse ' Forgive Me'
I have read one of her books before and I enjoyed it.

How could the performance have been better?

I am just not into american voices and I guess I did not think about that when I listened to the preview.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

No !

Any additional comments?

I just think I have grown out of predictable endings for stories :-)
