This is a book of two halves really. The first half seems to be a bit too preoccupied with Lake and Kieron and their somewhat toxic relationship. They spend most of it fighting and I don’t feel as if this moves the story forward. If we are finally going to have Lake standing up for herself the can we not have her running back after just a couple of days!

The second half though really picks up the pace as we finally get some resolution to everything that’s been going on in the last four books, as it all comes together. Lake and Kieron finally come to an understanding and get rid of most of the toxicity in their relationship, we find out who was behind the Kennedy kidnap, and who killed Mitch and why. There is also a bit of Esmerelda stuff although tbh I think that could have been wrapped up in the previous book as it seems a bit of an add on.

A good solid end to the series. I still have issues with the boys in this saga being just too much but I did enjoy it overall.

I really want to know who the “they” are though when talking about Q at the end? Another book perhaps?

A good end to all the drama.
