Hard going in some places

It never real!y not the spot,so to speak, left me wondering just what exactly did happen and who was actually to blame. I did drift off at tj.we and not take!ed on through the court case, even Kevin Pearces' wonderful narration couldn't keep my interest and I love that Mans voice!

It was detailed in some places and the mothers anguish was heart brea!ing but I found it a bit too bitty .

A Heartbreaking and Exasperating True Crime Story

Would you consider the audio edition of Every Mother's Nightmare to be better than the print version?

If you have no time to read, then yes, the audiobook is better! However, really comparing them to each other, I'd say the narrator did just as fantastic a job as my own mind would! Perfect tone for a true crime book!

What other book might you compare Every Mother's Nightmare to and why?

I kept thinking about the book A Deadly Game by Catherine Crier about the Scott Peterson case. That and the one written by John and Patsy Ramsey called The Death of Innocence. Every Mother's Nightmare reminded me of A Deadly Game because of all the facts and dates it gives you, yet you don't feel like the story is lost in the many details given. I thought about The Death of Innocence because that's another book that made me cry, and it was also about the murder of a child.

Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first audiobook narrated by Kevin Pierce, and I thought he did a fantastic job! His tone was just right for a true crime book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Every part that dealt with emotions of the mothers and how they dealt with them was hard for me to read. It hit way too close to home.

Every Mother's Nightmare

Any additional comments?

"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."As someone who had friends with murdered child, I know all the legal matters drag on for a long time. This book shares two mothers' journey, from loss of their children, to prosecution of accused. This is a heartbreaking account that made me very sad for all involved. It made me wonder about life style choices of everyone involved. If the children were from more prominent families, would the case been handled differently? I enjoyed the narration. The voice and elocution were pleasant.

Heartbreaking but interesting

This book was both very heartbreaking and interesting

Two children were found murdered and the hunt goes in to find the perpetrator or perpetrators

We learn about drug relations. Different suspects as well as different motives from sexual to revenge

I believe we get a authentic insight into the pain and fight for justice these parents went trough

A good book

Meh

I kept waiting for a sympathetic character. The prosecutors were the only ones. The mothers seemed to do nothing but scream and sob uncontrollably. I get that - their tragedy was beyond hideous. But every time one of them said "if he isn't arrested/tried/convicted I have nothing to live for," I wondered how that made their surviving children feel. Like nothing?
