Summary

Friends…

Attorney Syneda Walters and fellow attorney Clayton Madaris are just friends…the last two people likely to end up as lovers. Syneda holds all men at arm's length because of the father whose name she never knew. Clayton has always been a playboy, and no woman has ever come close to keeping his interest for very long.

...or Lovers?

Things suddenly heat up between them when Syneda impulsively accepts Clayton's invitation to join him for a Florida vacation, and is shocked by how much passion she feels. To Clayton, Syneda has become a temptation he cannot resist…and the woman he wants to share the rest of his life with. But getting her to trust again means finding a way to heal old wounds and convincing her, with all his heart, that she will always be eternally his.

You got me

My expectations were definitely met. My most memorable moments were learning the identity of Senita's father and the walk with Clayton's mom. I hadn't seen it coming until the actual discussion of the outcome of the investigation. The time with the mom was precious and I liked the imparting of wisdom - this doesn't happen nearly as much as it should. On to the next in the series!!

Eternally Yours Review

The story was excellent but the narrator was so bad it caused me to struggle with the book. I love Ms. Jackson's audio books but I will not purchase those with this narrator.

Sweet Story-Definitely Fiction/Fantasy

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Definitely Probably not, this was an average, predictable plot-a bit juvenile. The author's every (16 year old's) dreamy, romantic detail was here...weddings, a man taking woman on shopping trips, out to eat, flower deliveries, a Whitney Houston performance, etc.

The book was just o.k. it wasn't bad but not great - there are A LOT more books I'd recommend before this.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I'm not sure. It was a nice, predictable story about friends who become attracted to one another. I got this on sale for less than $5 - however, after listening I'm not interested in purchasing the rest of the series.

What didn’t you like about Pete Ohms’s performance?

He was SO SLOW. I was able to get through ONLY because I listened at double speed (2X).

Any additional comments?

Nice, innocent romance book. Nothing over the top or descriptive... NOTE: I do NOT recommend purchasing this book UNLESS your audio device has the ability to play at 1.5 or 2X speed. You will go mad listening at regular speed.

Beautiful and Awesome story. Horrible Narrator

I read this book years ago and I love love love Brenda Jackson books. This is one of my favorites I figure oh great I can listen to it too. Not so much...the narrator is sooo boring he draws everything out and is soo monotone. I am trying to digest it and get through it because it really is a great story Clayton and Syneda are super hot. Good luck getting through the story that is only reason I gave it a 3 overall. Happy Listening.

Madaris Brother Number 3

Clayton and Syneeda are one of those couples where you root for them but know that there is a mountain to climb. Love that this journey has side stories and also sets us up for several more Madaris love stories to come.

Love love love

Everything was on point from the storyline to the performance. I enjoy the hints of other characters and books to come. Both main characters are so lovable and their passion and desire is so real. Definitely my top 5 picks from B. Jackson although I’m bias and love all her stories.
