Summary

In the continuation of her story from A Spool of Thread, Elizabeth, now living in Chicago in 1985, sets out to locate the child she had given up for adoption 25 years previously. Contending with the restrictions of a closed adoption system, but encouraged and inspired by other birth mothers, Elizabeth pursues her quest. Her story, by turns heartbreaking and heartwarming, is the story of a love that has never died.
