About this listen
Everyone blamed Emily’s accident on a rubber ball left on the stairs by her frisky terrier. But the more she thought about her fall, the more convinced she became that one of her relatives was trying to kill her.
On April 17th she wrote her suspicions in a letter to Hercule Poirot. Mysteriously he didn’t receive the letter until June 28th… by which time Emily was already dead…

Excellent Poirot murder mystery.
Miss Arendil is rich and old and she writes a will for the benefit of her nephews and niece's.
Then things turn to murder.
Brilliant audio book, well narrated by High Fraser.

Engaging story
Hugh Fraser is amazing at reading these stories and he gets Poirot perfectly. Kept me guessing until very near the end. Very enjoyable bedtime listen.

A mystery waiting to be solved
A house full of suspects and plenty of means and motives. Agatha Christie has done it again. Poirot, after receiving a delayed letter, continues to investigate a considered natural death of an old lady who believes someone was trying to kill her. Well worth a credit.

Thoroughly enjoyed!
I really enjoyed this audio book. As ever, Hugh Fraser provides an outstanding performance and acts out all the parts with incredible skill and versatility. Rather spooky at times and I loved Bob.
( no spoilers!)
Dame Agatha takes us on a fantastic journey with such ease, I wanted to listen to it in one go but would have meant a few "duvet days"!
Outstanding thriller, exceptionally delivered.
Enjoy....

Such a clever novel, wonderfully read
I enjoyed the novel immensly, all the way. Very intelligently and captivatingly written. Many interesting characters, including the dog. I liked the ending, especially the very last segment. Hugh Fraser read all the parts marvellously. Just sit back - and be entertained.

EXCELLENT AGATHA CHRISTIE AGAIN
Really enjoyed this. Narration was excellent, particularly with the older characters, and it was extremely funny. Would recommend.

A tricky but intriguing case
I will say it again: Hugh Fraser is marvellous. This was a great audio book! A tricky case but comprehensible, when Poirot explains it all of course! It was a little bit morbid at the end, with conflicting feelings on how Poirot brought the case to a close. The last chapter, though, is so wonderful as Hastings and Poirot get a dog!
