Royal Guard
A quick recap Kyalee is Julian’s egg/child from Charon and she’s now all grown up. Kaylee has a gift for languages, and a passion for archeology. She knows she’s from another world but there’s a lot she wasn’t told about this place. Kaylee along with her dad and another wizrard manage to accidentally open a portal back to Charok and with it they end up bringing back some other dragons back to Earth. Archard is from Charok but accidentally ends up on earth along with his family. He seems to be the only one unhappy with the arrangement. He also has a tendency to take it out on Kaylee. The story has an ending you kind of see coming but its not a straight path to it and you’ll enjoy the story.

Dragons!
Archard is a Royal Guard following in his grandfather and father's footsteps. Only problem is that there aren't any royals for him to guard. Until he finds himself and the others in his clan pulled through a portal and he meets Kaylee. What occurs next is not an easy HEA but it is well worth listening to all the adventures that these two must handle.
The narration is beyond anything and Elle Sonali does an awesome job with bringing everyone to life and keeping you in the story.

A Fascinating & Out of This World Story & Listen🎧
Meg Ripley continues to wow me with another fascinating paranormal romance novel, a dragon shift romance, and it is great to be back in her “Daddy Dragon Guardians” world again. This book stands on its own but if you have had the pleasure to read or listen to the earlier series, you will recognize a few of the characters, in that series the dragon guardians fled Charok with a dragon’s egg from the royal family to keep them safe. After the royal family gets wiped out, those guardians wind up raising those dragons and one of the lead characters in this book, Kaylee, was one of those baby dragons raised by Julian and Naomi. Kaylee grew up to be a fine young dragon shifter, since they live on earth she is mostly in her human form, but she has above average intelligence and other gifts humans do not possess. Despite being born on Earth, she never really felt a full connection to it and continued to look in her travels for her archeological studies. Kaylee seeks answers and questions everything, the dragons who fled Charok with her, her parents and uncles, never found a way to get back there, but it is time to find out and find a wizard who can help them. Archard, a dragon shifter on Charok, was born to be a royal guard like his father and grandfathers were, but there was no royalty to guard. He is the leader of his clan, a clan of four surviving dragon shifters and one day they suddenly transported thru a portal to another world. Those who summoned them greeted them and he was skeptical of them and what they wanted. Julian assures them they mean no harm and explains who he is and introduces them to the others, including Kaylee. Archard and Kaylee do not exactly hit it off, but he feels an attraction to her like no other. He is just angry at the situation he is in and wants to get back to his post. Turns out that Kaylee wants to go to Charok too, but her father and the wizard advise against it, but that does not stop her and when Archard finds out that she plans to go, he goes with her. Charok is nothing like she imagined and as much as she did not want to have Archard’s protection, she was glad he was there. Archard also realizes who she is, and that she is his mate. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is imaginative, well written, the plotting and world building is fantastic. There is never a dull moment, and it has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and a wonderful romance. Meg Ripley, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Elle Sonali is an entertaining storyteller and a versatile voice artist. She covers the roles for all the characters, gives each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. Sonali has a complete understanding of the characters she is portraying and is believable in every role she plays. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the character’s emotions and projects them into her performance, making you feel every single one. Thank you for another fabulous listen.
