Each tale is murderously brilliant!

I got this audiobook via a promo code and this is my voluntary review.

Dark stories by Ken Goldman are well-known for leading readers on adventures they may not have wanted to go. This compilation digs into the darkest corners of damaged brains, making you think twice or even three times before approaching a total stranger. I don't say that lightly when I say I enjoyed it, Andy Garrison did a brilliant job on Narration.

The stories in Donny Doesn't Live Here Anymore take a close look at damaged minds and produce grisly and plain unpleasant outcomes. The main novella introduces us to Donny, a young guy who develops a passion for killing everything that gets in his way, including people and animals. Until the true situation is disclosed, Donny slaughters his way through an increasing number of victims. Prepare yourself for the shock!

In Hotline, a would-be suicide caller dials the incorrect number, which piques the interest of the girl on the other end of the line and, well, lets just say that the coffee shop will never be the same again.

In the movie A Museum Piece, we get a glimpse inside the thoughts of a group of girls visiting a museum and what occurs when one of them completely understands what can be hidden beneath the conjoined skulls' legend—does magic actually exist? If so, we should exercise caution when making wishes.

Sine Qua Non offers us an insight into a very damaged psyche by taking us on a journey with a man who is determined to kill himself. Somehow nothing happens as planned, and the outcomes are anything but pleasant.

A middle-aged guy who wants to live again is taken into the depths of his own psyche in "Vette Fever," which goes a step farther. The car he purchases has other plans.
