About this listen
Best be nimble, best be quick, I'm right here and you're my pick...The last thing Ford Elkhart remembers is walking his girlfriend back to her car. Now he's lying tied and gagged on a cold, dark floor, with only one chance to escape before he ends up like the bones surrounding him...Assistant State's Attorney Daphne Montgomery is devastated by her son's disappearance, and is immediately convinced that his kidnapping is connected to the white supremacist she's just had jailed for murder. FBI Special Agent Joseph Carter isn't so sure - especially when he learns that Ford's girlfriend is also missing. Is Ford's abduction payback for Daphne's courtroom victory? Or is he a pawn in an even more dangerous game?

Good story, narrator let it down
Good story, but I found the narrator let it down. Unnecessary accents and sex scenes in the book.

Can't Escape the Past
A female prosecutor is being threatened by members of a family in her current court case. Her son is kidnapped, but this crime appears to have more behind it than the current case; something or somebody from her past is back to get her.

Gripping thriller
A real plot twister of a book. Part of a series but the books do work as standalones. Starts right in with a kidnapping and moves fast although very long. Lots of threads to keep hold of, but the narrator was excellent.

Did You Miss Me
As with all of MissRose"s books I was not disappointed. It was full of twist and turns all the way through. I love the way you get to hear from characters from previous books.

Terrible Narror
This is the worst Karen Rose book I've listened to, the story was very drawn out and the narror voice was terrible.

Possibily not her best novel
I have enjoyed her previous novels but this one did not quite come up to the same level possibly because I felt that the suspense in the novel and the sexual encounters were out of balance. I found myself muttering I know, I know and trying to speed through those sections, there were just too many of them and they, in the end, added nothing to the story and in some ways destroyed the pace. The two main protaganists Daphne and Joseph appear in more minor character roles in the previous novel No One Left to Tell although it would not be necessary to have read this one before Did you Miss Me? it might add something to the enjoyment.
The book starts with promise with red herrings being dragged all over the place by the real killer. It is well narrated and other people may not feel as I do.

A little cheesy
Normally I love Karen Rose books, but this was just about sex. I'm not a prude but this was over excessive to the actual story :(
Nice to see the brief mention of some previous characters - a trait I have always enjoyed in her stories

Book 3 in the Baltimore series
if you know Karen Rose you know what you are getting! I would suggest reading the books in order although this could be read as a standalone.
This books main protagonist is Baltimore prosecutor Daphne Montgomery. While she is wrapping up a major trial her son is kidnapped. why?
Is it the family and friends of the white supremacist she has just help convict or is it Daphne's past has come back to haunt her?
Much better narration than previous books.
