About this listen

They call him the Devil....

He is the most notorious laird of Scotland: fierce, cold, deadly...and maybe even worse. Yet Evelinde has just agreed to wed him. Anything, she thinks, is better than her cruel stepmother. Though Evelinde should be wary of the rumors, she can't help but be drawn to this warrior...for the Devil of the Highlands inspires a heat within her that is unlike anything she has ever known.

They may call him whatever they wish, but Cullen, Laird of Donnachaidh, cares only for the future of his clan. He must find a wife, a woman to bear him sons and heed his commands. He has no need for beauty or grace, but one taste of his lovely bride's sweet lips and the sultry feel of her skin arouse an untamed passion. Perhaps there's more to marriage than he thought.

Narrators voice

The narrators voice is so bad it sent me to sleep and I had to rewined all the time. What a shame because the story is good. Will not buy again with this narrator again.

Highlanders

Really enjoyed this gentle story. Loved the characters.
I wasn't so enamoured with the narrator, thought she sounded a bit bored .

Devil of the highlands

I have listened to all three books in the series, I really enjoyed the stories I hope their will be more from this series as I really liked the characters. Please, Please get a different narrator maybe Davina Porter who is superb with the Scottish accent not to mention male & female voices.

Fun and entertaining read

I loved the story - there where no boring or slow bits and it kept me guessing the whole time _ really enjoyed it !
BUT I wanted to shake the narrator to wake up and get some life into her reading :-)

The Narrator is awful.

The story might be good, but the narrator puts you to sleep. Her voice is monotoned and boring, others had complained, but I gave her a chance,WRONG.
I fastwarded to the end rather than suffer, the whole tedious soul destroying voice.
The story was lost by the narrator's delivery, it suffocated everything.
Don't waste your money, unless you are an insomnia.
