About this listen
Psychic Tennyson Grimm was kicked out of his house and disowned by his religious parents when he came out to them as gay and psychic. The last thing Tennyson’s father said before the teenager boarded a Greyhound bus to Boston was that his son was dead to him. Flash forward 13 years later: Tennyson couldn’t have been more surprised when he woke to find the newly dead spirit of his father sitting on the end of his bed. David Grimm had one request of his estranged son: Go to Kansas and reunite with his mother.
Cold case detective Ronan O’Mara was all for this family reunion. Still recovering from injuries suffered during his last criminal investigation, he figures they’ll fly to Kansas, bury Tennyson’s father and the hatchet with Kaye Grimm, then come back to Boston in time to plan their upcoming wedding.
When the Union Chapel sheriff comes to Tennyson and Ronan with a years-old cold case he’d like them to look into, the Boston-based duo can’t turn down taking a peek at the case file. Tennyson is easily able to figure out whodunit, but the sheriff is leery to believe in his gift, bringing old prejudices back to life, and leaving Ronan to hunt for physical evidence the killer left behind.
Will Ronan be able to solve the cold case and help Tennyson resolve the decade-old feud with his mother? Or will the tornado with its sights set on the tiny town of Union Chapel, Kansas, make the other questions moot?

Excellent as always

This series keeps getting better. Tennyson and Ronan are really connecting to me as a couple the further into the series we get. I can’t wait for more! As always Michael Pauley has done a great job with the story and the characters. Gripping to listen to!
I don’t know what it is about this series...

The narration was strong and like slipping on a comfortable pair of shoes. I appreciate the consistency that comes with having the same narrator do the whole series.
I received a copy of this audiobook through the author and have voluntarily left this honest review.

This time, Tenn speaks to his estranged dad ... his very dead dad! This leads to the men going back to Tenn's childhood home to help his mum with her loss (I wouldn't have, but I'm petty like that!). Anyway, the MCs are asked to help with a cold case. As always, the case is a little chilling, but so interesting.
It is to Mr. Pauley's credit that I have not read a word of the series - not counting the blurbs. He has me so invested in the series that I can't even imagine reading the books (at least so far). He has made all the characters feel like real, 3D people; so much so that I expect to meet or read about Tenn, Ronan, Bertha (well maybe not, I'm scared of ghosts...) in real life.
I really love the narration!
Another hit story in the series!

This audiobook gives far more in depth background information on Tennyson Grimm.
Superbly written, fantastic storyline - has you busting a gut laughing 😂 one minute, bawling your eyes out the next (in a good feels sort of way) 😭
I love this series, and hope that they all become available in audiobook format soon!
Gets the 5⭐️ treatment from me 🥰🥰

Here is a quote from the book, “I’ll leave some of the fun duties for you, like the middle of the night feedings, projectile vomit duty, and the poop diapers that are so volcanic that they overflow and fill up the feet of those onesie pajamas.”. There is more but you will need to read/listen to the book which I can highly recommend. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
A Great Continuation Of A Series

This story starts with the spirit of Tennyson Grimm's estranged father showing up in his and Ronan's bedroom in the middle of the night. Ten's father tries to plead his case with the famous Cold Case Psychic asking him to go help his mother who has no family left except for him.
Ten and Ro reluctantly head for Kansas to attend the funeral of David Grimm. Ten tries to reach out to his grieving mother and with Ronan's help, he manages to reach a tentative truce with her so that the duo can help her get things in order for the funeral and beyond.
To add to the already precarious situation, the town sheriff invites the famous duo to work their magic on a case gone ten years cold. Add in a tornado, and just imagine the potential fall out.
I recommend this to all paranormal mystery fans who also love some man on man sexy times. A must for all Pandora Pine fans.

listening to it today, it hit them all again, even harder.
Michael Pauley has a way of bringing life to the words that makes them even more powerful.
This story is amazing, sad, full of love, compassion, growth, a mother you want to throttle... :-)
great audiobook that I really recommend (in order, to gain a bit of context)
So emotional and so good

The narration is great (as always) and I particularly enjoyed the voice of Tenn's mum. Snooty and distant!
The drama in this book really exists between Tenn and Ro, and Tenn's mum. I found it hard to see why Tenn's mum softened to Greeley but not her own son... which is why I downgraded it to a 4 story wise. The murder mystery element was strong again and although it was sort of obvious 'who dun it', the real depth of the awfulness is a real shocker! I liked that Pandora gave Tenn and his mum a realistic outcome rather then a Hollywood ending. Another real treat of a story and I'm looking forward to listening to the next book.
Another fantastic story in the series
