Important
This is an important book if you want to approach your life in a conscious way. Gay sets out the map of what is required very well.

Great book, WOEFUL narration
Hendricks work is wonderful with so much depth and honesty.
How on earth can the woeful narration get off first base?! It’s soooo bad!! What is audible thinking? He continually puts full stops where they don’t exist!t It often sounds quite bizarre.
Nonetheless I’m persevering for the sake of the content.... but boy is it hard!
I would love it if it could be re recorded so that I can feel free to recommend it to others!

The Content Outshines the Narrator
The narrator is almost robotic, not my taste at all. This is especially troubling due to how excellent the content is. Such a stark contrast.

Homerun with Gay Hendricks
First of all I liked the narrator's voice immensely.
Gay Hendricks' theorems hit home in many ways. It helped too that I was in a guided class that was combined with In the Flow of Life, by Eric Butterworth.
I loved working through the various exercises he suggests along the way that bring me back to living in the present.
Too often while planning for our futures we forget to get beck to living in the present. The exercises helped me understand where I might have gotten lost in the future while looking at and emphasizing parts of my past. This allows me to see what my future can hold as long as I acknowledge my past influencers that have brought me to my current situation. We/ I can hit our/my homerun by acknowledging how I arrived at this point and what it's doing for my life now, then if I want to change it declare where I am and then declare the change I am making.
Becoming aware of how I am living and how I can make it better allows me to live consciously and well.

Narrator is a bit of a goober but good stuff.
You might find the narrator a little bit of a goober to listen to but the content is great. Highly recommend this book for anyone looking to improve their personal relationship with the self as well as others.

Brought awareness and peace
To live consciously is to be aware of your thoughts and feelings, embrace them, enjoy them (both the good and bad) and let them pass. Holding on to things causes many problems. That’s the key insight I received along with many others. I’m feeling great from it.

Trite
Mindless faddle of an author overjoyed with himself and his accomplishments. Nothing new to be gleaned here.

Gurdjieff, Epictetus, and Rainer Maria Rilke
Some of my favorite philosophers and used Gay’s work in my book Sage Advice and I use his work in my coaching. This is amazing work if you apply it and prove it to yourself. The results of your experiments will change your life as Gay suggests “prove it to yourself.”

Worst. Narrator. Ever.
Wow! I cannot even begin to explain here how bad the narration of this book is. Saying it is 1 star is giving it far too high of a mark. I had to look it up because I thought that maybe it was a computer reading to me... or possibly a really fancy robot trying to show some semblance of emotion?
Aside from that though the book is truly phenomenal. I highly recommend the read - just get it and read it yourself though.

Beautiful book
this book resonated with me from the first words to the last. Gay has a way of relating information that is helpful in every day living. even the parts that I struggled with, the tough subjects, he gave tools on how to work through them and gain what was needed. I was not a fan of the reader. I've listened to Gay in person and he is articulate and relatable. the reader made me feel like the material was being given to someone who has trouble understanding even simple concepts. Even so, this book is an invaluable life tool and I will enjoy listening to it again and again.
