Summary
Terry Goodkind's bestselling, epic fantasy series Sword of Truth continues with Confessor.
Descending into darkness, about to be overwhelmed by evil, those people still free are powerless to stop the coming dawn of a savage new world, while Richard faces the guilt of knowing that he must let it happen. Alone, he must bear the weight of a sin he dare not confess to the one person he loves…and has lost.
Join Richard and Kahlan in the concluding novel of one of the most remarkable and memorable journeys ever written. It started with one rule, and will end with the rule of all rules, the rule unwritten, the rule unspoken since the dawn of history.
When next the sun rises, the world will be forever changed.

Dissapointing end to a great series of books
Has Confessor put you off other books in this genre?
No.
I have read and listened to hundreds of books of this, my favorite genre.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
After listening to the narrative performances in audio books like 'Dune'.
Audio books should be vocally acted out, with narrators either acting the different characters themselves.
Or have a cast of narrators to play the parts of different characters.
It makes the experience of listening truly engaging and almost three dimensional.
Rather than the flat monotone one dimension of listening to someone read lines of text from a book.
Any additional comments?
It is a great pity that the last 3 books were basically one book out into three.
As they lost all the pace and excitment of the previous books up until faith of the fallen that I loved reading so much.
And since that book have felt increasingly padded with diction and stretched out.

Finally
The book series finally concludes its main arc, as I struggled to get through the last couple of books. It ends spectacularly with this book, but the books that came before had little progression and was dragged out for me.

Great listen
If you've read or listened to the starting books you'll know you want to read some more, personally I found the reading better than the listening, but these are still a great listen if you don't have the hours and hours to spend reading the books

Excellent story. Average narration
An amazing story. It’s true that narration could have been better. In previous stories the narrator really gave different voices to the characters and in this one it wasn’t as good but it got better as the story progressed. I absolutely love this series of books though

worst Narrator
Enjoyed the whole journey, but so disappointed with the final Narrator. He did not project any sense if character for Zed, kara and others. Brilliant story though.

Perfect for drifting off
Gratifyingly long-winded and reassuringly overacted. No idea how this series kept getting published and recorded but thank goodness it did, it has been helping me get to sleep for months.

loved it!
this for me, as a series has pretty much everything I want from a fantasy, intelligent heroes, strong women and yes blatantly evil villain all included. This book as the end of this series doesn't disappoint and I'm looking forward to seeing how the story continues.

Confessor
I didn't like it anywhere near how much as I liked the previous two books. However, it in it's own way was still quite good. Richard playing the game made me smile often. I wish that Kahlan was given a better voice in this book. I LOVED Cara in this book.

I haven’t really ever liked books. But i finished 15 books from this series in 5 months. If you enjoy fantasy and a good story i would reccomend this book.
