Summary

Snow is falling softly as a young woman takes her last breath.

Fifteen miles away, two women sit silently in a dark kitchen. They don't speak, because there is nothing left to be said.

Another woman boards a plane to escape the man who is trying to steal her life. But she will have to return sooner or later.

These strangers have one thing in common. They each made one bad choice - and now they have no choices left. Soon they won't be strangers, they'll be family....

When DCI Tom Douglas is called to the cold, lonely scene of a suspicious death, he is baffled. Who is she? Where did she come from? How did she get there? How many more must die? Who is controlling them, and how can they be stopped?

Another Brilliant Book by Rachel Abbott

Marvellous. Riveting, everything you expect from Rachel Abbott, brilliantly read by Lisa Coleman. The book stays with you all day, and hooks you so that it is better to listen at night than go to sleep. Well recommended

Another excellent book by this author

The start is difficult to get the hang of, but all soon becomes clear. It has a very good Narrator. The story is a page turner.

Confused

I was very confused when I first started listening but as I listened things fell into shape and a really good ending

Got me thinking

I nearly gave up on this book, I couldn't follow the story initially but I'm so glad I persevered. it is a good book and you realise that the beginning chapters are to explain the different characters that merge later.

Disappointing compared to the rest of the series

I have enjoyed the other books in this series, but I found this one a bit more far fetched and harder to get into.

Gripping

Two separate stories that slowly are cleverly intertwined to reach a engrossing climax.
Worthwhile listen

Brilliant

Really enjoyed this book, found excuses to listen as often as possible. Lisa Coleman is brilliant as the narrator, one of my favourites

Absolutley brilliant

What a read. Good job I have retired as I've been listening into the wee hours. Loved this book. Thrilling, tense, great characters and well read. I am now a fan and can't wait to read others.

MEDIOCRE

Not a bad story line, I kept going to the end, but it certainly wasn’t my book of the year.
