Nothing cold about this book in fact I enjoyed it

I enjoyed this book. I like the fact that most of it is set in a comic book shop, very unusual but it works and adds a nice element to the story and memories of childhood. It also made me smile when quite a few shows I know and watched were mentioned. The characters are like able and work well together, the cat and dog names are also shout outs to comic book lovers. The mystery had you guessing and I didn't see the end coming. This is the third book in the series and I have listened to book one, so other than mentioning this was the third body Kirby had found, I can say they are stand alone stories and you don't need to have listened to the previous instalments to enjoy this one. Definitely a series I will be keeping an eye out for.
Kirby a comic book and coffee shop owner has his hands full trying to get his dog to accept the new addition to the household, a cat. The last thing he wants is to participate in the annual Niilhaasi pirate festival but like getting a cat her gets talks into it ends up drawing the map for the treasure hunt. He had no idea that one of the locations on the map would lead to something else buried there or a teenage boy would go missing. Kirby vows to stay out of it but when it is discovered that the location for the treasure was suggested by an old friends father he gets dragged into the investigation. Can he find the missing boy and solve a very cold case? And broker a truce between his cat and dog before blood is drawn.
I liked the narrator, he did a good job with the characters voices and really helped to sell the story.
