Insightful, helpful and made me laugh out loud!
Listened to Brian’s book whilst painting in my studio. It’s like having the most interesting, intelligent and fun studio buddy alongside you that you could ask for!
The artists delivery is just perfect and the repetition of the themes in his Studio Visits YouTube videos serve to really help you soak in his points of view about being an artist. I haven’t put that very well, but just listen, it’s brilliant.
I’ll be listening on repeat.

Totally recommend this book for all artists!
I loved Brian's openness and honesty towards sharing his journey with us! As an artist I was able to easily relate to him through his use of chosen words and visual vocabulary. I really enjoyed this. Nice work 👏 👌 👍

Magic, you made it Brian💫
I love Brian's painting, but I have discovered I love his writing too. What an extraordinarily intelligent, kind and generous person.
Brian's stories about life link his edifying thoughts about the art world and priceless information about his painting practice together. Sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, at other times poignant when he talks about his mentors as friends, his feelings palpable.
Throughout the book he weaves his thoughts about art history, generously sharing his knowledge.
Brian genuinely feels like my mentor.
This book and his studio visits are magic. You made it Brian💫
