Summary

What could come between a nanny and an earl in a fairy-tale love story? A reality check—in an endearing and witty romance by Sariah Wilson, the bestselling author of Roommaid.

With her sister’s medical bills mounting, Diana Parker can’t say no to a high-paying opportunity like this: accompany a wealthy couple to Aspen and nanny their precocious five-year-old son for three months. Necessary qualifications? She must know how to ski and teach math, speak fluent French, excel at social graces, and hold a master’s degree in childhood development. Who’ll be the wiser that Diana’s only skill is packing for Colorado?

So far, so good—having a con woman for a mother has turned out to be a benefit, even if Diana has complicated feelings about telling lies. But she’s doing this for her sister. And the perks—like a ticket to a lavish charity fundraiser, a new gown, and a Prince Charming-adjacent earl named Griffin Windsor—are pretty irresistible. Diana can’t deny the Cinderella vibe.

Wary of gold diggers and scandal, England’s most eligible bachelor is nevertheless falling for Diana, and sweeping the not-quite princess off her feet.

The warmer their relationship becomes, the slipperier the slopes are for Diana. Sooner or later, she’ll have to come clean. When that happens, does an honest-to-goodness happy ending stand a chance?

Nice story, poor British accent!

Another gentle story from Sariah. The only problem with it are the British accents - not quite right and bad pronunciations.

A Fun, Sweet, (at times) Heartbreaking Romance

I've read/listened to a few books written by Sariah Wilson. She is an excellent author. This was a fun, sweet, and at times heart breaking romance. It was perfect to listen to before diving back into darker listens. I really enjoyed this one.

Marli Watson is an excellent narrator. She did both male and female voices well! Easy to listen to for longer periods of time. Great performance!!

*I listened to this audiobook through the Kindle Unlimited program.

Cinder-Nanny

I enjoyed this one, I wasn't expecting a lot I didn't know going in that I would enjoy it like I did.
Diana just wants to help her sister who needs an expensive surgery. So she lies to get a job she is under qualified to get.

But she is awesome at the job of nanny to a little fella.

The falling for someone wasn't in the cards but it happens and they both navigate it.
I liked that lying was hard for her and she knew she had to come clean and how the reaction happened it was very low on the drama which I liked.

Great narration, she did well with the accents and I would totally listen to her again.

I'm always a sucker for a good fairy-tale

Her sister Alice needs a kidney and Diana will do anything to make sure she gets it because her sister made sure their con artist mother was out of Diana's life. Alice's soon to be ex had had taken her off his medical insurance and was not paying child support or alimony putting her surgery in doubt.
While looking for another job, Diana came across an opening for a nanny paying $40,000 for the summer. The skills are way out of her skill-set but she applies and gets the job.
In the park Diana and Milo meet Griffin Windsor and his niece Sophia, a set up so Milo can make a friend his age.
Milo is a charming hypochondriac, Sophia is a perfect friend for him because she's fearless, and Griffin and Diana are falling in love. What can go wrong.

Funny, charming, a bit of royalty, a look at what it looks like to be rich and poor, this enjoyable story will keep you turning the pages. I had the read or listen experience and the moderator is excellent.

Enjoyed It So Much!

Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book so much! It was a fun, cute, and sweet story. It's one of those that had me grinning like a goof all throughout.

Another thing that made me enjoy this so much is Marli Watson's narration. I adore her! She's so talented and did so well with this one.
